I wonder if you can get a leader if you win a battle using your army?

I make extensive use of armies, and while I often have units promoted in the army, I have never spawned a leader.

I thought it was possible,but can´t remember ever getting one, but no big loss,it´s not like one´s armed forces only consist of armies.
