I have a question about the ICBM flag:

I know that it designates it as a nuclear weapon, but I cannot find any information in the Civ3Xedit help file about exactly WHAT the nuclear weapon will do. Is there a way to have them totally destroy a city? Or would multiple bombardment be necessary.

If a city of size 1 is nuked, would it be destroyed or just stay at 1?

    What happens?

as far as I know, it doesnt matter if its a size 1 city, with no improvements, or units in it, the city will still survive. There is no way to destroy a city short of moving a soldier onto it and razing it.

Pity. Too bad the PB's from Smac/X couldn't be incorporated here.

    Thanks, TVA22

For some reason, the Civ3 developers totally ignored SMAC and took a huge step backwards by slavishly following the Civ2 formula.

Not very bright of them. I still play a great deal of smac/x, and wish some of the innovations they came up with were incorporated into Civ3. They did a good job, for example, with the design workshop, but trying to incorporate that into C3 would have been a nightmare, to say the least.

    Let's hope C4 does better.

Nuclear weapons destroy half the population (it will leave the last population alive), kill about half the units outright, wound a bunch more of the units, destroy about half the buildings, remove infrastructure improvements, increase global warming, and pollute the land. It will also tick off most of the players in the game (unless they are at war with your target).
