hey, uhh, I never knew about this forum before. All I know is this: I would love to only use one list, but:
1. Border's list is often down (this is only a mionor inconvieniance and I didn't care too much, though I asked to host the list since I run my comp 24/7 on DSL, I didn't really care too much)
2. This is a biggie, Stratihgn about 2 weeks ago, I was un-able to join Boarder Patrols Activelist any longer, and it would always crash my ICQ. (This is a MAJOR Inconvieniance, as you can immagine) to add in-sult to injury, I've tried:
a. un-installing his activelist and re-joining; it will not, however un-install his activelistr, it will instead cause ICQ to terminate)
b. installing the same version of ICQ again.
c. Installing the newest version of ICQ.
THe only option I have left is to completely UN-install ICQ before installign it again, and that would hopefully rectify the situation, but I have 193 contacts, none of which I am in a hurry to lose, all of which would be lose if I un-installed ICQ. it's a major pain in the ass to do get them all back seeing as how last tiem I formatted I had 93 civ2 contacts alone, and now I only have 48
So I started my own list once Borders was down for more then 1 days, after Cederic started his new list. I told Cederic I could host hios list 24/7 since he said it would be down half the day, so he told me to simply start a new one. this is what I did.
As I said I would use Boarder Patrols if I could. I'd prefer it simply because it had liek 82 members when I last was able to use it. which is a hell of alot more then my 15 users.
But anyway, this is MY situation. sorry if it pisses people off, I just wanna play. ~Q
