I was a dumbazz and dl'ed a "fix" for my ICQ and now my ICQ won't run. It says "The ICQPLUG.DLL file is linked to missing export ICQWCOM.DLL?iAllocator@mCCoTaskMem@@0V?$MTInterfaceref@UIMalloc@@@@A... (that's all that shows).

I hope if I can replace my ICQPLUG.DLL file it will fix it. Can somebody who has ICQ send me that dll please? My email is pm me for my email if you can't get it from this post.

Ok, try this.
Step 1 - Turn off ICQ, hit CTRL-ALT-DEL and make sure nothing that says ICQ is running.
Step 2 - Copy the ICQ folder and keep everything, but what the "Fix" modified, to a backup directory. I suggest you copy it to C:\Temp\ICQ or something similiar.
Step 3 - Reinstall ICQ.
Step 4 - Repeat Step 1.
Step 5 - Copy the files from the backup directory over the newly installed files. ICQ must NOT be running for this to work.
If this doesn't work then you are out only a few minutes of time, but if it does work it should fix everything.
Also, if you know exactly what directory holds your contacts you could just back that directory up and you would be even better off.
Good luck.

Also, you can try a new program called Trillian from www.trillian.cc .
It will automatically import your ICQ list from your harddrive plus you can also talk to ppl on MSN, Yahoo!, and AOL.
Make sure you stop ICQ from autoloading at boot-up.
