Hope he doesn't mind, but I just had to plug this. These.

I recently made all the Great Beasts (including one I added that is the most dangerous, a wolf version with the same strength but thrice the speed, by the name of Xien) buildable by the barbs at Feral Bond, and made Mary Morbus buildable by any evil civ with Body mana and an Alchemy Lab.

Anyways, show of hands in support?

:wavey:

So when you make this change, do the barbs actually build said beasts? I've not been impressed with their ability to build Tum-tum, and I worry the beasts would have the same problem.

I haven't actually seen them built yet, but I haven't played a very long game since making it. The barbs don't tech very well, so even though they get free techs if enough civs know them they won't reach Feral Bond very quickly. If you really want to see them, you can lower the tech requirement (at your own risk).

Tum-Tum requires Trade, and the barbs might not be able to get that far in an ancient start game. When you play with Classical or Medieval starts he is almost guaranteed.

I didn't actually remove the events either, so they could still appear that way. Now that I think of it, I should probably add a requirement that the unit not have appeared in the world yet for the event to happen.

Hey, if there is going to be a wolf named xien in the game, we need a Grey Fox. :p - He could be real sly, with an actual 100% withdrawal rate, marksman, +200% vs Recon units, -100% vs Wolves (you can't hunt a fox without a dog!).

Why just a Grey Fox?... we need a... hm... what works with thomas.berubeg? hm... i'll get back to you on that.

Clever, Xien, very clever. You could even go as far as to make it a Smooth Bugbear.

Thomas the Bugbear, I can see it now. Collecting honey and playing with his tiger friend.

And the tailors can hem all their clothes with V-shaped stitching?

EDIT: Might be a bit of a stretch there...

can we have a psychic llama then too please? a mutated giant llama that can cast mind magic ;)

I thought psychic llamas were already there. They're a resource that you cannot harvest because they're psychic?

In my current Lanun game, a great sage named Magister Cultuum has been born in a far away land.

What a strange coincidence

You know, on the times I get him in my games, I tend to keep him around rather than use him up.

The reason being if I ever need fodder, well.... :p

And the Illian Priests of Winter could cast Call Nor'easter instead of Call Blizzard. :)

In my games Magister Cultuum often creates Stigmata on the Unborn. Surely there cannot be anyone more virtuous than him.
