Ok so I like CIV but it has its problems.
One of which is managing your army in peace time, I know you can put them all on alert but it's messy, your units litter the map and it just looks bad imo.
I think I will try modding in a garrison.
Essentially this improvemnt can be built by a worker only within your borders and will allow you to stack your entire army there in one tile. Units will have 0 defence when stationed there so the second war is declared you're going to want to move them all out.
It could be tricky coding it in terms of selecting which unit you want to activate etc but I'm going to give it a go....
