What about the idea of a career mode. Each time you started a game it would make note. If oyu bail and restart immediately you are credited with a loss. If you play it out it records your score. Averages all of your scores over time and awards you a Master score for all your playing time. Could also put in an option that allows you to play with career turned off if you just want to monkey around. However, you shouldn't be able to turn it on after you start a game. (ie. look to see if it will be a good one and then score it)

What do you think?

HOW COULD IT HANDLE PLAYING SENARIOS? If people want to cheat so bad then they could just make their own scearios.Or could you only play random maps? Why are you concerned with how other play the game anyway. This seems like an attempt to "control" your own cheating by restart. Its a useless Idea to me.Each separate game is already like a 3000 year carreer for a single ruler anyway. Just doesnt make much sense to me.

This has nothing to do with how others play the game. This would only work in single player mode. I am curious to see hoe well I do on average. Some good games, some bad ya know. I would like to know, overall, how I rate. Wouldn't have anything to do with others scores.
As to scenarios, I hadn't even considered it as I alwyas play on random maps. I suppose random maps only would be the only way to go.
Not everything has to be about competition with others. I would like to play out three ot four games and see if my overall score is rising or falling. Yes, I know this can be done already by comparing your scores, but this way would force you to play out even the bad starting position starts and see how good you are at it when you don't have an excellent starting position.
If you quit ealy, it is a loss (0 score) which is tremendously bad when averaging. Dunno, think it might be interesting and challenging. Anyone's score on this setting would neccessarily include some losses, but how well did you do in those bad situations? KNow what I mean?
