I have a good idea for multiplayer games!!!

I have noticed that when I am in competition with another strong Civ player we tend to both amass as many cities as possible (usually 20-30) and then try to fight it out. It is usually a very slow and tedious process. Also the AIs usually get left in the dust and serve as little more than minor nusciences (I could play on a harder level, than King, but the unhappiness is just too much of a annoyance).

My suggestion for MP games is... the five city rule, basicially each human player can only found five cities. Obviously they can capture as many as possible but can only found five. This saves an incredible amount of time (imagine in a normal game when 8 of your cities build city improvements and four build caravans and then you only have 30 seconds to move your units).

Now this might lead to imbalances in play (for example - one guy is stuck on a big island with no other cities to conquer) but imbalances are part of the game and no cloud is without a silver lining (the guy on the island can use the resorces he would of used for military towards wonders).

Let me know what you think. And if you have AOL of AOL IM let me know your handle so we can get together and play one sometime.

I've also include a map that might be interesting to play on (I have several others available for DL also). I don't really like the random maps the game generates.

Take care y'all!
