Hey Afforess!
I just saw that theLopez updated his M.A.D. Nukes mod to BtS 3.19. What do you think about possibly integrating it into RoM:aND? The MAD civic would go very nicely with it. Also, it could possibly be integrated with the espionage features to tell what city another civ is targeting.

Also, as long as I'm asking, how about a Great Doctor mod integration also? :)

Afforess said if MAD ModComp is made into SDK modcomp with AI smarting up, he will include it, otherwise not.

I'm planning on merging the MAD Nukes (but making it only available with the MAD Civic), sometime this weekend. As for the Great Doctor - There aren't enough buildings to give GD points to make it worthwhile.

Also the use of the GD is a bit light on IMO unless I am looking at an older version. Of course if it was in I would have to adjust the extra wonders to reflect it "Hippocratic Oath" and so on. Luckily I have modded tsentom1's School of Confucius so that it can make other GP with a simple bit off code change.

:woohoo: I can't believe theLopez is back!!!! Man, it's been too long without him ANM coulda used that earlier but hey, better now than never!

What is the differance between MAD and ANM?

My mod -ANM- introduces a number of different 'nukes' as you probably know, while MAD is a screen mod that allows the player and AI to make their 'nukes' pre-target cities and assign a threat weight per city targetted, if you are launched upon, then all nukes targetted at that country's cities will launch in retaliation. Note that any un-targetted nukes will stay present in your city. In addition to that he made regular nukes make the plot into water which I think shouldn't happen but rather turn it into a tile worse than the last i.e. grassland -> plains -> desert or something similar to that which I'm pretty confident I can whip up a python file or change his to do so since his last version was a static plot change and not dynamic.

When combining the two mods, all hell WILL break lose. I can just imagine it. You target Montezuma with a peace maker and a few Plague Bringers, when he launches something at you, he will be completely wiped off the map.

I am assuming you mean MAD by TheLopez.

ANM = A Nuke Mod: the modmod that add tons of strong and powerful Nuclear, Biological, Chemical weapons of destruction. It was made by Civ Fuhrer. You can find the gameoption in Custom game for this one.

MAD Nukes = Not really understand fully yet but it look like an automated nuclear have-it-all war between civs. It was made by TheLopez.

MAD Civic = Military Civic in 1.75 that increase your abilities to use nukes easily.

Am I right, Afforess?

Afforess, I'm pretty sure MAD might break ANM if you list it's python files after ANM's since they affect the same things and will end up making the custom nukes fail to trigger their special effects. A simple fix would to list MAD's python first in the ini file so it would get overwritten for the special nukes.

I'm not keeping the MAD Nukes Event Manager - I don't need it. I'm rewriting the modcomp first, which is why the merger will take the better part of the weekend. ;)

Okay, thanks. I'll be changing to be used for a civic, and with some improved AI. I'll be sure to post my version, so you can see it too. ;)

This is entirely awesome! I was expecting to hear that it wasn't possible or that it was the wrong direction for the mod. I am excited to hear that you pretty much already had it in mind. I look forward to the next version, especially since you will be tweaking MAD to be even better.
