Before I installed the Community Patch, mousing over a hex would show me what resource the hex produced. Now it doesn't -- how I can I see that information?

He is talking about the mouse over tooltips. It has happened to me before. I think EUI resets its timer when installed for the first timer.
Go to options and look for the tooltips delay settings (or whatever it's called) and set it to something below 1 second.
