How can I find out what service pack of Windows XP (if any) I have on my computer? I *think* I installed SP2 at some point, but I can't figure out where to look to verify it.

control panel -> performance and maintenance -> system

then under general it tells you which version of windows you have

Terrific. Thanks. :)

You can also run dxdiag (Start > Run > "dxdiag" > OK) and it will tell you everything you need to know about your system including your current OS version.

You can also run dxdiag
oh, learned something new, that's a nice tool :goodjob:

So it does put the service pack number (if any) in the dxdiag box? That's what I wasn't sure about -- I saw nothing there that would indicate anything other than basic XP Home, but I could have sworn that I had installed SP2 at some point. Maybe I'm misremembering. In any case, I'll check both places again when I get home.

Just click right mouse button on My computer icon (on your desktop) and go to properties.
