If Al Gore jumped in the race last minute, would you vote for him?

If Gore joined the election would you vote for him?

  • I'd vote for him in the Democratic primary but not in the election (I'd vote Republican)

Four million dollars but you can't get it until 2012 because it's in a LOCKBOX

That's a pretty weak lockbox. Oh well, as long as it's at least in some kind of CD, it would work for me. Now show me the proof that I'll actually get four million.

Well, if I was anything like the Social Security Administration, I must have spent that money years ago.

What's more ironic than Gore having been prophetically right about Social Security, as the past 8 years of pointless spending* have shown, is that you just admitted he was right. :goodjob:

*not to mention the whole 2005 attempt to kill Social Security period

Now show me the proof that I'll actually get four million.

u r really good at deconstructing metaphors.

Stewbert, I've never supported programs run by Don Lapre.

The man gave us the internet, for God's sake, what else do you want from the man.

In other words, no.

8 pm is daytime?

Actually I think Stewart airs at 11, 8 is just the rerun...

... I mostly catch it on the Internets.

I'd be highly tempted. I think his enviromental agenda is a good one, though I have to admit that it's maybe nothing more than a halo effect from that which makes me think he'd be similarly enlightened in other areas.

But I'd also be tempted to vote for Hilary or Obama, JUST because of the rage and depression it would cause on the Right if they won. That's my chief interest in politics - seeing people I disagree with cry.

*sigh* I don't deny the warming. I deny why its warming. I deny what the jet setting Gore said it was caused by. And that 90% is a nifty talking point but its not set. The scientists said that maybe possibly might be human caused. And then you get those studies that say the dreaded CO2 isn't as bad as the methane from cows or a myriad of other factors. (Cue some one with the temp/CO2 graph that proves nothing.)

And you may want to check your memo on newest catch phrases. Its not global warming anymore, because its not global warming. Its now called global climate change, because well the climates are changing. But not all are getting warmer.

Please do me a favour and try to refute this so I can flex my science knowledge. You know the one that nobody should pay any heed to.

Yes, because the scientists concluded that it is being caused by humans was 90% likely, that's now only a "nifty talking point." You disagree....why? Are you a scientist? Did they make some mistake in their work, because the vast, vast majority of the relevant community seems to think it is rock-solid.

Yes, methane is a problem too, but most of the methane emissions are human-caused. It comes a lot from livestock (particular cows, for instance), and that's our responsibility. But I guess just because CO2 may or may not be as big as some people think, it means that "oh, humans can't be doing it". CO2 might be just part of the problem, but that doesn't mean it isn't an important part.

AFAIK, Bush and Co. call it "global climate change." It IS global warming, because the average temperature of the Earth is RISING. Just because that means you might see some parts get colder because of climate effects (e.g. water currents in the atlantic stopping), doesn't mean the overall planet is not getting hotter. It is.

I'd vote for him only because only because he is the only politician that has addressed global warming on the level that it should be, but i don't think he has offered any solutions that seem to be effective in reducing greeghouse emmisions

I'm not American or of voting age, but my support still goes out to Obama, though Gore's still ahead of Clinton in my mind.

My vote would go to Slash!

I would not vote for him. I'm rather positive towards him, but he basically had his chance and blew it*, no need to try again.

Regardless of whether or not it was his fault or a setup or anything... if he had been really popular he would have gotten more votes. Same thing for Bush.

Al Gore is a tool. I wouldn't even vote for him to get an Oscar.
