Yes taken from a thread what if we were living in a civ game? For example is Ghandi comes to pass and actually has India nuke everything or Iroquois took over all of it's continent. How do you think the world would be if it was a civ game?

If Civ were real life we'd all be mere pawns in the titanic clashes of immortal rulers. If you were a citizen of a runaway civilization's city you and your family would live in eternal peace and endless prosperity, but if you lived anywhere else you would be the victim of countless atrocities and unpredictable wars. If you were a worker, you'd be forced to tirelessly work your country's land until death or capture, if a soldier, you'd be forced to march into almost certain death at a moment's notice (unless your leader is the human). The only joy would be from entertainment at theaters and stadiums, or from items of luxurious value. In other words, not all that different from real life.

What? No city state or barbarian actions? It seems to me that, if civ was real life. Then, no one civ has won yet.
But there are a few years (turns) left in this lifetime (game), for a civ to still win. Looks like out of the Great 8. England is going for a Cultural win. CHina is going for a Diplomatic win. America is shooting for a Technological win.

The other Great 8 nations (France, Germany, Japan, Russia, ?) Are too far behind those nations to catch. So thIer only hope is a domination victory. At this point of the game, that is next to impossible to pull off.

At the end of time (turns), who is to say what will be the cause of the end of the game.
Will be another Ice Age descending upon us? Could it be we make contact with an Alien Race (friendly/unfriendly)?
Might we have world wide epidemic? Or would we be ready for a world ending cataclysm? Who knows?

a country declares war on you. You see a group of infantry guarding workers. You shoot them, several of them are dead. They destroy a nearby farm, then repair the farm, then destroy it again.

now this must be some kind of voodoo or black magic because all the men you killed are now alive and healthy...

If civ was real life, we'd be facing a horde of mounted archers.
If civ was real life, we'd consider low classes as starters.

If civ was real life, we'd not be able to defend ourselves.
If civ was real life, we wouldn't be able to delve.

If civ was real life, we'd be dead 'fore them barbarians came.
If civ was real life, hell, I'd be damned.

If civ was real life, the World Congress (UN) would actually get some stuff done.
Embargoes for everyone!

Hey Mom I'm joining the army. I'll be back in about 400-500 years, give or take.

If civ was real life. Germany would just reload autosave stop reasearching Rocketry then beeline Atomic theory, make A-Bomb before someone else does. also they might not buy inquisitor before they spend GS- Einstein.

If civ was real life. America is already sending all nukes to China coz their Bullying the america's best friend in South east Asia. And they might lose 1 food for each city (bonus from Maritime CS), and Spice Lux Res and also 1 Diplomatic Vote.

If civ was real life. Shaka the immortal leader already occupy all of Africa and Half of Europe. don't ask why.

If civ was real life. There would be no England, Dutch, Brazil, Huns. (no offense folks but) they are all to lame in game (they all need a buff on next update). coz they been conquered by Zulu. Also in Anglo-Zulu war. Zulu win the war coz they could field a large army. they have the most experience army. they outclass the English.

If civ was real life. there would be no more forest today because they were all cut down to make artificial coal (coz there is no coal on the game. darn. )

If civ was real life. Japan would not DoW on America even though they embargo them on oil. ( Japan: hahaha, who cares? we don't need a drop of oil to have a thousand Zero.hahaha ). Or maybe if they did DoW, they defeated the American Pacific fleet on the Battle of Midway with 1,000,000,000,000, no oil powered Zero kamikaze fighters. And Australia is already speaking Japanese, same as us.

If civ was real life, every major power would be a highly traditional secular socialist nation.

If civ was real life the Zulu would have conquered their continent and the surrounding ones long before anyone else.

If civ was real life, most of the world needs to move down a difficulty.

If civ was real life I'm pretty sure the US wouldve won a culture victory by now.
Or depending on the requirements of a science victory (I'd always assumed it to be a colonization ship), Russia or the US may have won a science victory.

At this point diplomatic / conquest victories are pretty much out of the question, but barring all of the above, both China and the US look like the top contenders for the time victory in 36 years (it is 2050 right? I've never had a game go that late).

If Civ was real life, at the end of the last ice age, (4000 BC?) There would have been 43 Human Dieties born to 43 different tribes. These Gods and thier civilizations would be immortal to stand the test of time. Unless of course,
they were wiped out by another of these competitor civs.

Creationists were right! Earth and the first humans spawned around 4000bc, each in their respective gardens of eden.

Also, no weather, no rampant illnesses killing large percentages of the population and no global consequence of massive productivity coupled with mass deforestation.
