How would the ball room dancing work out on the Wii?
Obviously using the wii fit board would work, but just moving the remote in step with the music to a particular direction would work fine, as well. Plus you could put in sailing controls (like hoisting or rudder changes). The sword fighting itself would make the entire game a must have, if everything else worked marginally well. The Wii needs a good strategy game...
I would want different start-up scenarios, including having to start as a carpenter or gunman, and work your way up the ladder. Maybe earn loyalty with each battle your captain puts you in, and once you get enough support, you could challenge him to a dual??? Maybe even have target practice from a cannon or
Have the so-called named pirates regenerate as you capture a few, so there are always competition out there other than harmless rogue pirate raiders.
Allow you to auto-repair/sell, or auto-merchant, so you arent having to do that every port call.
Allow you to make a home port, and turn it into a major port (with the risk of others capturing it while you are away.)
allow you to form partnerships with specific pirates or to build independent fleets, to attack various shipping lanes, or defend particular harbors.
Allow the map to be randomly generated, so you dont always have the same historic ports. or even land/sea/wind traits.
Force you to be more diplomatic or face consequences. Yes no questions from governor for specific challenges, like sacking a neighboring town within 2 months, etc in order to remove price on your head, or to negotiate peace treaties with indians/other pirate havens...
Allow for a game that does not have Montebon and Raymondo. Or have other specific end goal scenarios, like conquering the entire Spanish main, or escorting the treasure fleet around the map without too many losses.
I could go on and on...
