actually now that you mentioned it, i nearly died today! Stupid car almost hit me ounce. Drivers here are loco.

Looks like i'm already working  i'm going to the camp in Barinas to act as a rafting guide of some sort.. i'll be back on sunday. no internet their.

back, rafting was great. We went fishing on a big river and lots of stuff. Not to mention it was so hot... 35+ degrees in the daytime.

On the way back to the camp from the river we found an injured 3 month old dog. We took it and i'm now nursing it back to good health.

In 10 days im gonna be at the camp again, but this time for a month plus.

I'm glad things are working out for you, are you going to be keeping the dog or are you going to release him after he's healed?

It's likely gonna stay in the camp, with the two other dogs (one is a retriever and the other is a German Shepperd)

The young dog we found is some kind of Basset-Hound German shepperd mix.

Also to avoid mis-understanding, it's not like a camp where little kiddies go and play ring around the rosie, it's like a camp where tourist's go, eat, sleep play mini-golf etc. than go by car and do stuff. (except for rafting, it's connected to the camp we launch the rafts at the camp into the river). It's sorta like our base. :)

Tomorow i think i'll be going back to the camp, for the whole month to early september, going to continue on my rafting training :)

Don't know if i'll get a chance to go on the computer tomorow so i'm letting you guys know now. :)

It's a mixture of rich and poor into one, plus great weather and hot women.

I could make the same statement about where I am right now. Lots of wealthy people but lots of homeless and poor. However it seems more pronounced in Venezuela.

i'm baaaack!!!

i'm taking a minibreak to come back and help with the container which will come (or be fetched by us) in the next few days, hopefully.

Well, i nearly died yesterday, a couple of times... trying to get the container from Porto Cabello to Merida.

That explains my absence for the last two days.

Anyway, all my stuff is in Merida, and it's a smooth ride from here.

How did you almost die and are you OK now?

plenty of almost car crashed, flat tire, drove for like 50 km's on a back up tire that was half the size of the other tires and never used or pumped since the car was bought like 8 years ago, oh and my dad who was driving the car fell asleep while driving and i had to take control of the wheel from the passenger seat, while almost nearly slamming into a truck.

I'm ok now.

What are you driving? I hope you got a set of 4 new tires put on.

Honda Sonata straight from Canada. :D

My dad bought very good snow/rain wheels that he was so proud of and bragged about to everybody last december. we haven't bought new tires yet, but it was only 1 tire, so we'll just buy a new tire the same size as the other ones rather than buying a new set.

Hope those were all-season tires and not snow tires. Putting snow tires on a car for sub-tropical weather would be insane (not to mention they'd wear out super fast).

edit: Hyundai btw.

They were water tires, made for rain and snow. They'd actually be ideal in this climate.
