I'm lost......

I've just posted this somewhere else, but now I've found this Rise of Mankind folder so here goes...

I have been playing beyond the sword for a while now (a few months), and just stumbled on the fact that there are mods for this game. I am not good with technical computer stuff as you have probably guessed!! I have spent literally hours trying to wade through the different mod possibilities, and it seems that I want to install the Rise of mankind mod. I don't know which version I should be installing, or which patches I need as it seems there are many. Can anyone help please and tel me what I should be downloading?

I have a few other probs as well - do some of these mods only work with certain versions of the game (i.e. Warlords, BTS) as I can't seem to get many to work at all. Thanks.

Welcome, this is not quite the right forum for your question. However it is close.

2.71 is the current version of Rise of mankind. It runs on BtS version 3.19. The download and install instructions can be found in the first post of RoM Latest Version. Just follow the installation instructions.

There are many addons to this version all of which are optional. Try playing without them first. The extar Civ pack does cause problems for some peolple so I would advise against using it.

Installing extra RoMmods can cause minor problems when you install ones from different authours. There is a tutorial which shows how to fix the main cause of these problems.
