I'm not sure if this a bug or a suggestion

Why does the indigo plantation now go obsolete so early? By the time I discover Industrialism and go to build a dye factory, it is practically impossible. I do know about the chemical district building later in the game but murex diver is obsolete before than, so dye until novus chemicals. So that leaves saffron plantation but that only works if you have the right combo. I know dye is not really a do or die resource but I would still like to have it. Sorry if this is in the wrong spot and also if it sounds like rambling, I am writing this while suffering insomnia.

I'll check my current game which is in Industrial Era. But I'm pretty sure I still have indigo working. I'll look into it.

Same problem tonight woke up with plugged sinuses and can't go back to sleep yet. Winter!

Thank you, and I wish it were that simple.

Indigo.... that reminds me of temporary book shortage, that caused cascading failure culminating in education property to plummet empire wide on my space play trough :p
I don't remember how I resolved that crisis :p

My indigo Farms/plantation are still woking in the Industrial era. I'm 18 techs from Modern Lifestyle now.

Is the tile the indigo is on being worked by a citizen? Maybe you need to remove the citizen for 1 turn (if it is being worked) and then turn after put the citizen back on. There may have been an auto upgrade pop up that you dismissed and forgot about. This will re activate the auto upgrade. Will take a few turns to show up again though (somewhere around 15 tuns iirc).

No, not for me. It says indigo farm is obsolete with agricultural engineering. I would a screenshot but everytime I try to take a screenshot of it all I get the application that is running in the background.
Edit: It is strange but when I find the indigo farm in the xml file that governs the regular buildings no where does it say that it goes obsolete withe agricultural engineering. Also I was wondering could this be because of Toffer's Interface Overhaul modmod?

I have not researched Agricultural Engineering yet. We do have several Techs that Obsolete massive amounts of resource gatherers and then farms. We the Team need to discuss whether this should be changed. Or if there is an obscure path to follow to keep the resource active.

One more thing. In BUG do you have the option Hide Obsolete Buildings checked? If you do Uncheck it. This has caused problems like this in the past with upgrade paths. I also recommend unchecking the Hide Obsolete worker actions as well. I'll put up a screen shot of the BUG tab I'm talking about.

This is how I set this tab/page up, see screenie below:

I know what you are talking about, will do.
Edit: It would nice if the indigo farm was like the saffron plantation and not go obsolete until botanical alchemy.

See my edited post above.

Yeah we have resources going obsolete way too soon now that we have added more Eras to the Mod. Botany is another Tech that needs changed big time.

Thank you for the help, I was worried I had put this in the wrong spot.
