There was a thread a while back with the same title. I didnt want to hijack it but mods can merge if they want.

So I quickly threw together a banner for a project Im doing. But it looks a little off and whatever I try doesn't look right with my limited skills and this is the best-looking attempt (which is still... odd). Can someone take a look at it and see what they can do? I cant tell if its the text or the images.

(Please, no comment on the subject matter.)

I can supply the original images if needed. :)
Link to banner.

A few things that may help improve it:

The text is neither centred or left aligned, centred would look better.
The spacing of the letters is strange, some are close together some spaced out, not monospaced or properly proportionally spaced.
The proportions of the pictures isn't balanced or pleasing to the eye, each is a different size, none are the same, even sizes would probably look best but you would need the people closer together in the last pic.
The last pic has a line at the top to balance the black of the bottom of the pic but nothing on the right hand edge.

You may not agree with any of this as it can be a matter of personal taste, but I hope it gives you something to think about.

Yeah, I thought the font looked a little odd. What font would you change it to? I can install free ones if needed.

I'll see what I can do about swapping out the pics.

All right, here's the new one:

Changes:
1. Swapped out the right image for the logo.
2. Changed the fonts. ;)
3. Reduced the width, but put the transparency at the sides so it would fit into the layout better

Thanks.

Does anyone want to critic the aethesetics of the project in general? I think the banner fits in, but Im not too sure about the colors or default fonts.

Note: Sometimes its a bit slow loading. Just leave it open in a tab in the background and it should come in eventually.

Oh, sorry. Mods can merge if they want. :)
