Immo Practise: #1 Churchill

    After winning my first immo game HERE it is time to try immo again.

    This time - RANDOM leader, no huts, no events, fractal, normal speed

    Our great rolled leader is....


    Probably the worst english leader.
    Charismatic is a top trait, but protective definitely not. At least it has some synergy wuth great UU and with charismatic.
    UB is not bad, not good either (maybe English ladies would have more of it)

    Moved warrior 1NW and no more food. So had to gamble and moved to plain hills. But there is no good food either. So I settled....

    Very very very hard start, no food, no luxury (but at least charismatic), no commerce, maybe the game is lost from the very start. I dont want to reroll because sometimes even loses can teach us much. Anyway, I have You to help, haven't I?


    I suppose workboat first, then grow to pop2, and worker would be ready just about the time AH comes.

    If you go on, GLH looks like the only way of creating something ;)
    At least you get some commerce without good cities then.

    I may add, unless you can get horsies for even more prod. researching AH hurts this plan badly.
    Hunting..AH..BW for chops..sailing..masonry = late GLH.

    I maybe would sacrifice AH for GLH. Sailing with that lake and LH will give you some food, 1 cow would not be worth 2 early techs.
    Too bad you cannot know if you have horsies.

    After scouting a little it was clear that GLH is the only option + running specialist. Few green tiles = no cottages. Pyramids will make a difference, biut I doubt I get it.
    What is worse, this is an isolated start! So probably I would have to bulb my way to astro insted of liberalism.

    I started with worker to improve the hill and prechop all forests. Teched: BW - Hubt - AH (I revealed more AH resources) - Sailing - Masonry. I decided to skip Mistycism and went straight to Writing, as my tech rate is low and I want libraries asap. I skipped also wheel and pottery. Now it is 1280 and I have just finished GLH.
    I have only 3 cities, a few improved tiles but there are brown tiles anyway. In few turns I will chop libraries, so no need to work other tiles than food for some time.

    Plan for teching: wheel, pottery, mystycism, estethics, literature.
    I want to settle 2 cities ASAP. First on marble, double fish for GP farm, and repair commerce with double silver fish site.

    Please rate the game till now, cause maybe this segment is worth repeating.

    Horrible start. However, have met any AI? Might be that you are isolated.. Immo Isolate Practice, Tokugawa recommends!

    Nice progress, Marble is so useful in Isolation ;)
    Maybe use forests around Pigs city for wonders?
