Imperium Offtopic: Native American Edition
The sun dawns on the year 1000. You are the ruler of a small adventurous tribe located in the New World. You must expand your growing tribe by any means necessarily. But you are not alone. All around you are other tribes seeking the same goal. You have heard rumors of people from a far-away land who wish to claim some of yours. They bring with them plagues and great armies. You also wish to gain favor from the gods. But which tribe will strive for dominance and rule the Americas?

STARTING OUT
When you are beginning, claim 10 territories. After your first turn, claim 6 each turn. Choose a color for your tribe and a name. Don't forget to add things such as a flag, your religion (will get on to that in a minute.), and a cool history.

TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE
Each territory gives +1 gold. Each tech cost ten gold. There are two types of techs, military and civilian. Military techs give all military units a 10% advantage when fighting. Civilian techs give +5% more gold. Units cost 25 gold apiece. All gold is rounded down to the nearest whole number.

MILITARY
Whenever two units fight, I'll run a random number generator. If the units are equal in strength, if the number is 1-50, one unit wins. If the number is 51-100, the other unit wins. If one unit has a 10% advantage, if the number is 1-60, that unit would win. If a unit has faced an attack within the last 3 turns before it has "healed", it suffers a 20% disadvantage. All units can move 5 tiles per turn. Every tile you conquer takes up 1 expansion point.

RELIGION
There are three gods: a sun god, a sea god, and a land god. You can only worship one. The Sun God gives you +1 expansion point for every 15 territories you own. The Sea God gives you +0.20 gold for every water tile you own. The Land God gives all units a 10% advantage when fighting. After you choose your god, you cannot convert.

EUROPEANS
At 1500, the first Europeans will show up. They bring with them plagues and armies that can be a threat to your tribe.

WINNING THE GAME
To win the game, you must have the most territories under your control in the year 1700. Each update is 20 years apart, meaning that there will be 35 updates.

Sorry I can't post a map.

Capital- The Southernmost province in Florida.

Land- Florida, any Georgia or Alabama provinces that are touching Florida, and all of Cuba. IIRC I have one claim left, use it in Haiti.

Government- A tribal Oligarchy of, currently, 10 tribes. Each tribal leader gets one vote on all issues. They also elect a king, who must stand for reelection every 10 years. The king breaks all ties and leads the army in war.

Worship- The Sun God. There is no other God. We will kill you if you dare attempt to defile the Southern tribes.

Government system- Not necessarily fair, but based on the Will of The Judges, a group of 10 men in each tribe selected by the local tribal area. If you are disliked by them, stealing a piece of fruit can lead to death. If you are very liked by them, you can get away with murder.

Labor- Caste System type thing. There are six classes, the Nobility (The tribal leaders and their children), the Priests of the Sun God, the Warriors, the Common Folk, the Slaves, and the Outcasts.

The Nobility get tons of money and pretty much whatever they want, the Priests get tons of money and intercede to the Sun God for the People, the Warriors are those who have killed a man in battle and they get more money and rights then the Commoners, the Commoners have to pay a certain degree of taxes but so long as they obey those above them and don't break the law they are mostly left alone, the Slaves are those who were captured in battle or reduced to slavery as a punishment, its not quite as bad as the blacks were treated during pre-slavery America but its pretty bad, they get no pay and less food than people who are paid to be servants. Priests and Nobility have slaves, and Warriors get one. Outcasts are reduced for very bad crimes and for worshipping another Mesoamerican God, they are outside the protection of the law, even the slaves may tell them what to do, and they are forced to wear a large gold chain saying "Outcast."

There is very limited forward movement. A commoner can become a warrior by getting a kill in battle, if you are a very devout worshipper and not a slave or worse you can be chosen as a priest, but otherwise you can only go down, to slave or outcast, which is a common punishment and passes on to your children. Inter-Marriages between classes are illegal.

The Temiminó tribe.

Capital: Niterói
Government: Tribal Democracy currently led by Araribóia
Worship: Land God
History: (Of the Tupis in general, not just this tribe) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temimin%C3%B3
Technology: Invested into Civilian Tech.
Claims: The map is broken, when I try filling in provinces, it fills up only part of a province, and occasionally a small dot. Anyway, claim:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rio_de_Janeiro_(state), http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esp%C3%ADrito_Santo, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minas_Gerais, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%C3%A3o_Paulo_(state) and any places North of them from the remaining points.

Is Civilian supposed to give you a percentage of gold, or just +1 gold, because that would seem pointles...

Why did you leave such a huge blank white space in the map?

Cause I suck at paint

Is Civilian supposed to give you a percentage of gold, or just +1 gold, because that would seem pointles...

I had to agree, and changed it to 5% more gold. I also added something about unit movement to the OP.

I think every province you "Attack" should take one point, not just the ones you succeed upon.

Personally, I'd rather see no peaceful expansion while at war but at least make each attempted attack cost 1.

I want to invest in Military Tech as well.

EDIT: How often will you be updating?

Currently, I am trying to fix the map. I'm going to wait for a couple more players to begin. Each update will be 3 days apart.

OK.

I think you should probably make some sort of limitation on DPs to prevent it from De Facto becoming like the Modern Era. Or just don't allow them, which would be fine with me.

THE MAYAN EMPIRE!!!

Capital: Tikal
Government: Hereditary Absolute Monarchy
Worship: Sun God
Technology: Military (By the way, you never said how much we need to invest to breakthrough...?)
Claims:

Defense Pacts (or any type of diplo for that matter) is not allowed.

Yes I did, it's under technology. Each tech is 10 gold.

I will be updating the map soon (think I found a way to fix it) and we can get started tomorrow.

So I heard you wanted a better map.

EDIT: Read your latest post, saved you some work. :p
