    Allow me to introduce

    The Caliphate

    Motto: "God, Unity, Brotherhood"

    Capital: Abu Dhabi (de facto)

    Development rating: Second World (average)

    Economic style: Whatever works.

Economy and Industry: Generic import-export; chiefly raw materials such as oil. The United Arab Emirates is also a major source of capital via the high-tech businesses and international services that operate there, making it a trade hub and the Caliphate's primary source of funds.

The economy is further helped by rampant black market transactions. While the police will move in to shut down particularly unsavoury rings such as human trafficking, as a whole the government does not seem interested in curbing these operations so long as they do not pose a danger to public safety. Rumours abound that the money flow indirectly contributes to the national treasury.

Political setup: Exactly who controls what is unclear. While the "legitimate" government is a federal constitutional monarchy, popular sentiment is strongly influenced by an Islamic order (from which the supernation derives its name) that operates "behind the scenes". The common belief is it is this order that dictates the Caliphate's policy, and the government that works to legalize it. This symbiotic relationship provides the order with the diplomatic tools necessary to peaceably cement its authority, and the government the combat arm to broaden its sphere of influence through alternative methods.

Social policy: Obviously religiously-influenced, yet promoting an open, quasi-socialist domestic policy.

Foreign policy: In the long term, to promote a world living in friendship and harmony. In the short term, the unification of the Middle East. The Caliphate is particularly sensitive to incidents of "injustice" within its home region.

Army: A mid-sized professional army of varying quality, complemented by paramilitaries who make up for lower training standards with unbounded fanaticism.

Air force: Negligible. While capable of defending its airspace, it is rarely used for much more than reconnaissance and light air support outside of friendly territory.

Navy: Again, negligible. A few destroyers and at least one frigate, relegated to coastal patrol.

    By the way,
I approve of this World Map. Wars would be a lot easier to calculate if the landgrabs are pegged to the territories.

...You guys going to have a new war mechanic, find a new neutral party for war battles, or what? I'm calling myself out on this new one then unless I can be persuaded and it's a reasonable/easy thing for me to deal with as an outsider.

ill add a few things about Byzantium:

Economic policy: free market in peacetime, but everyone has the necessary orders to ( more or less) instantly switch to a command economy in warfare.

Technology: 2030 level. better military equipment, better civilian technology but no hover cars, no hover ships, no directed energy weapons (except for the Death Projector). there are a few terminator types walking around. 100 to be exact. they are the Emperor Guard. Synthetic oil Technology is small (producing 100,000 barrles a day) and growing.

foreign policy: neutral, but may intervene if their interests are being threatened.

I'm gonna lay down claims first, name later (when I think of one), and details... sometime after I beat the Pokemon League, beat the Collectors, or get to a ridiculously high level in Morrowind, depending on which game I decide to play this week.

Claims: Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Tibor-Leste, Tibet, and the Falklands.

note: if given the chance I would have claimed only Taiwan and Tailand, and named my nation Taiwand.

Israel, Jordan, Palestine, Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Egypt.

I'll be the Israeli Republic (again). I'll copy and paste my info from the last thread later.

I'm giving everybody a second chance to pick territories for there empires, after the that you'll have to wait until we're finished figuring out how the economy and combat systems will work. with that being said I'm calling dibs on Primorsky Krai, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. This is the world so far Worlddivisions.PNG

Your assuming I have any sanity left to ruin:p, but nevertheless I hope you change your mind and join us. Its not like your modding this anymore.(although you still can)

How about I give you all of Romania, because your probably going t want the whole thing anyways, right?

I think the province system will make things easier as well, by the way do you want he rest of Arabia? I don't think to many people will be joining and it will be harder to make secondary claims later.

We haven't made any concrete decisions on the battle system yet, but we would be happy if you'd join us in the next game, just let us know what will make it easier for you:)

Is there any objection to the giving you all of Alaska? Also would you be interested in coadministrating this game with me? Because I have no idea what I'm doing:lol:

Sorry, Tibet is part of China so already spoken for, can I interest you in Bangladesh and Pakistan Instead?

Is the shade of gold I used work for you, also do you want to call dibs on Denmark, Iceland, Greenland and Karelia?

    I present you the CEU:

(Orange) Let's try to use this map!

    Capital: Poznan

Languages and Culture Main languages are German and Polish. Officially: German, Polish, Slovak, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Latvian, Lithuanian. The swathes of Belarus and Ukraine all speak Polish.

    Culturally Central European.

    Development rating: Modern First World.

Economy and Industry: Mostly a modern Service based economy with big industrial and a fair agriculture industries.

Political setup: Election-based. Candidates for presidents from each party are chosen from each province, who than run with each other for President of the CEU.

Foreign policy: We are with the good guys. :

Army: Strong, developed and modern army. 150k active at any time, but if war comes, we can gaurantee you will be facing a large large o large army.

Air force: Strong and Modern Airforce as well.

Navy: Strong and Modern fleet. Highly capable and among the world's best.

I am getting back nito this game! :)

    Byzantine Empire, Alliance?

edit: I see someone wants Romania, they can have it all(including Moldova and Budjak), but under the condition that they are an allied state of the CEU.
