The Emperor of Chola chose to make his announcement at one of the meetings of the UN. Other nations had been carving up the world for quite a while. He felt it would be appropriate to discuss Chola's claims to the world as well. He presented the following map.
The outrage was instant. Nobody missed the fact that Chola claimed the entirety of the Malaysian Ninjas. The Emperor smiled and waited until the commotion died down. He raised his arms openly. "I fail to see what is so provoking in our claims. We are simply claiming the lands which our forefathers held. In fact, if any of you would look at this map," He pulled out another map, salvaged from the greatest site of the Pre-Plague world: Wikipedia. "You will notice that there is much more land in India and Southeast Asia which we could have claimed, but that we respectfully declined."
He looked each representative in the eye. "And after all, many of you have made exorbitant claims as well. Chola stands by its claims. This land is rightfully ours."
