Our Troops Continue to Come Home from the Far East
Boats containing members of the Protective Caste are on their way from the Japanese prison camps in China, as part of the peace agreement settled between both the Japanese and the Platonic Republic. General Toto, having returned from Vietnam after leaving due the Platonic withdrawal from the UN peacekeeping mission, stated that "the bravery of our warriors met the bravery of the Japanese and as such we admit in our defeat that we will learn from the experience, especially considering the... errors in tactics we had over transporting." This with Japanese refusal of a offer by the Platonic Republic to pay a gold tribute in the Platonic acknowledgement of defeat, it what could only be described as a humble act of justice. This marks the official end of Platonic present activities within Vietnam, which has found itself centre of the world stage over the controversial cold confrontation between Japan and the United Arab Republic leaded United Nations Vietnam Intervention Force, the later which saw the Platonic Republic over the Hanoi incident.
"Thessaloniki will be Freed from Anarchy" declares General Toto
In a press conference in the early hours this morning General Xylon Toto announce that he had accepted fully the responsibility to lead the Platonic’s Protective Caste’s operation to enshrine the city of Thessaloniki into the Platonic Republic, as it rightfully belongs to, with the commission to deal what Toto referred to as “the anarchist threat which is attempting to manipulate the populace into a self-destructive path of chaos.” Toto declared that “Thessaloniki will be freed from anarchy, less I am unworthy of being among the Protective Caste! I am eager to ensure with courage and determination to remove the infestation of terrorism that dares threaten the Platonic Republic with its lies of chaos. We must protect the citizens of Thessaloniki from the criminals who pretend to govern an “independent” state.” This came over objection to a Indonesian plan for a referendum, with Toto expressing his views on the matter by stating “democracy is the worst form of movement. Period. It is better to suffer under a bad tyrant than a bad democracy, for at least you can blame one figure for the problems. Any rate it is best for the wisest to govern, not the more popular, just as it is best for the brave to the join the military than allowing cowards to hinder the arm forces.” This came as initial “caste revaluations” were scrapped for “economic reasoning” and due to the “current effectiveness of the formal review.” Moment after official demand for the terrorist occupiers of our city of Thessaloniki has been sent, demanding the criminals who dare misdirect Thessaloniki into chaos to surrender to the just order of the Platonic Republic and be allowed, as an unjust minority of the Thessaloniki populace, to be exiled from the Platonic Republic as an act of mercy. Failure to surrender will result in the judicial removal of the terror threat, with any captured terror leaders likely to face charges of “Treason against the Republic.” Our Platonic Republic cannot be denied an important city of the Greek peoples, nor allow the selfless act by the Romans get ruined by a small group of thuggish villains who care not for the people but their own selfish, evil ways against the good and just Platonic Republic.
The Philosopher Council seeks to Cool Relations with the United Arab Republic
In light of current heated anguish with the United Arab Republic our great Takis Papadakis,
in light of the recent debate between Yergos Verge of the Philosopher Council and Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf of the United Arab Republic in Victor Miles’s “So what is your view on the matter?,” have declared that the Governing Caste desire to mend wounded relations with our Arabian friends. The Philosopher Council, according to Papadakis, is “eager to see relations improved, for the gulf to not divide us for we may set a railway over it to keep us together.” The UAR has been known to criticised our… response in the Vietnamese crisis and have (dared) criticised (most naively) our response to the terrorist occupation of Thessaloniki. Still, as Yergos Verge commented after returning from Jerusalem, “we cannot forsake the Arabs. They are needed to be our friends, else our just position will be place under pressure. We must show that justice is our will and that we must demonstrate a willingness to be in league with the just nation of the United Arab Republic. We cannot let any gulf, no matter how giant it might seem, divide both the United Arab Republic and its most just ally the Platonic Republic. To fail would only see us fall into the abyss the gulf lets open.” Indeed; we must not make enemies of our potential great friend, the Arabians.
Macedonian Entry into the Platonic Republic Placed on Hold
Alas due to… strategic concerns the elites in Macedonia and the Governing Caste of the Platonic Republic have agreed that it will be in Autumn, not this current summer, that intimal processions to see the home place of Alexander the Great become part of the just Platonic Republic. Although the returning of the Protective Caste members from China and the terrorist occupation Thessaloniki have contributed to the delay the main issue will lay in more to allowing for preparations for the proceedings.
Thorium: the Spark for a Economic Glory!
Our energy policy has in the past noted hydrogen but now we are to embrace Roman style Thorium power!
A Roman deal has allowed a new policy that will provide many jobs for the proud members of the Productive Caste, as well as providing energy security for Greece and other parts of the Platonic Republic. This comes especially in light of the post oil age.
