Imperium Offtopicum XXII

the Emperor of the Romans (in Istanbul) welcomes the strongly theocratic state of Italy into the world.

On behalf of the Italian people, His Holiness receives the Emperor's good wishes with warmth and gratitude. Peace be unto Emperor Andreas and the Roman people.

now, he is wondering if the Pope will form the Kingdom of God.
That would be impossible, not to mention redundant and heretical, for the kingdom of God is not a temporal entity demarcated by maps and borders. It cannot be enacted through legislation or force of arms; rather, God reveals His kingdom through the love, peace, and justice practiced by the faithful. For it is written: "The kingdom of God is not coming with things that can be observed, nor will they say, 'Look, here it is!' or 'There it is!' For, in fact, the kingdom of God is among you." (Luke 17:20-21, NRSV)

In spite of our Protestant heritage, we welcome the new Papal state and hope that bonds between Protestants and Catholics be strengthened.

His Holiness humbly accepts the good tidings of the Prussian people and wishes them health and happiness. It is his devout wish that full communion may one day be restored between the churches, for we are all one under God, and have far more to gain working toward our commonalities than squabbling over petty rifts.

In addition to continuing the war against the collaborationist southern oppressors, the Korean People's Army has saved the port of Vladivostok from the anarchy currently spread throughout the region. May its integration into our society be swift and painless.

No Popery.

Also are there rules governing the buying/transfer of provinces between players?

You can't buy or transfer provinces between players (except through war of course).
Also to thors question, I fixed the stats

His Holiness is saddened that the Wells Cabinet should regard the existence of the Catholic Church and its papal office as such a matter of offence that it so blithely rejects the venerable institution committed only to the betterment not only of mankind, but of all Creation. Although the methods employed in evicting the corporatist exploitation of the British Isles are reprehensible, and the lives lost therein represent a tragic testament to the continuing struggle for love and harmony between people, yet we do not condemn Britain ipso facto, and indeed shall continue to pray that her citizens may yet achieve a life of peace and fulfillment. For God never wearies of forgiving our sins, though we may err and believe ourselves unforgivable. In time, we pray, the Wells Cabinet may cast off the temptations of the dark and self-defeating path of diffidence and competition—those same vices it so nobly challenges when employed by unfettered capitalism—and instead embrace the path of love and acceptance toward all your brothers and sisters.

The People's Republic of Greater Belgium has banned the Catholic Church in its borders and will be engaging ina comprehensive de-Catholicization campaign to cure our Wards of their opioid delusions.

Wait...

Does the Pope regard the potential from buying from Phoenix? If so you could aid in attempts to reclaim Britain from the royalists...

Consider the benefit of a Catholic friendly British Isles; possible through Phoenix.

in response to Belgium, for some reason, banning the catholic church, the Roman Emperor decided to allow the Catholic Church to try and establish a church in the Empire. there should be a few catholics who would appreciate direct assistance from the Pope Himself.

we do hope that the straight ban of Catholic Church wont piss off the catholic majority in the country of Belgium, but... its not our business. *sips tea*

Religion is the opiate of the masses. There is no need for the Book of Lies when the people have the true wisdom of historical dialectic and political truth in Big Sister's Emerald Manual.

The Emperor is a religious person. he is aware of that perspective, but doesn't agree. faith is needed by everyone, even if its not quite in the line with most established churches.

We have faith, we have beliefs. We believe in the communist revolution. We have faith that Big Sister can lead us there. Lesser faiths only serve to distract the worker and alienate her from society. The worker needs a socialist faith to strengthen her and give her the power to rise above the pettiness of capitalism.

Eenheid, Sterkte, Welvaart!

The Holy See is deeply saddened, but hardly surprised, that the Volksrepublik Groot-België should adopt a belligerent stance against the Catholic family. Although we admire in principle its aims of ending poverty and inequality and fostering a sustainable economic system, we despair at the heavy-handed means employed thereunto. While Belgium is right to challenge corporate greed, yet its leadership remains itself beholden to the hegemonic sway of materialism as the dictator of social and political organization. The communists claim to have established a new society free from alienation, but this is only partly true: one cannot claim to be inclusive if one subscribes to a doctrine demanding the violent subjugation of those living outside the group. One errs in disparaging "lesser faiths" if one's own faith is not already welcoming of all. Indeed, what is the "Big Sister" cult but idol worship, substituting the unconditional and eternal love of God with the conditional affection of a temporal figurehead?

As long as the worth of a human being remains defined by one's physical utility or willingness to conform to prescriptive doctrine, Belgium and her citizens shall never be truly free, for material fulfillment cannot sate spiritual needs. His Holiness therefore urges Belgium to reconsider its antireligious policies, for if its revolution purports to liberate the individual from oppression and exploitation, it cannot seek to dictate individual conscience. God is merciful, welcomes all, forgives us all no matter how often we stumble. If Big Sister is merciful, she will have no fear in doing the same.

The Holy See must decline any and all such invitations by the Phoenix Corporation, for it is an entity embodying all the evils of capitalist exploitation and militarism. We cannot condone moral or material support for a company whose existence is predicated on the proliferation of weapons of war, for by its very existence it seeks to encourage, and profit by, the horrors of armed conflict and wanton murder. While the Wells Cabinet was the aggressor party in the recent British tragedy, it was the Phoenix Corporation's corruptive hold on southeastern England that engendered the conflict, and indeed, it has issued a statement earlier this year that confirms it intends to continue actions of violence and hate that are completely antithetical to Christ's teachings.

We will, however, pray for those living under Phoenix's yoke, that they may find the fortitude to resist the soul-crushing burden placed upon them. We also pray that the men and women that make up the Phoenix Corporation will recognize their sinful enterprise for the Devil's engine it is, and commit themselves instead to the betterment of their populace and a future of compassion and nonviolence.

The Holy See humbly and graciously accepts Rome's invitation to expand the work of the Church in the eastern Mediterranean, and welcomes the opportunity to strengthen relations with our Orthodox brethren.

His Holiness wishes to correct the Roman government's assumption that foreign affairs are beyond its concern: we are all children of God and part of Creation, and thus, have a responsibility to care for one another. While the government should of course refrain from those courses of action that would jeopardize international peace and well-being, Romans should remember always that even the smallest act of goodness bears value.

So even if I wanted to I couldn't say give Ailedhoo Gascony as part of a peace agreement?

If the Papal States will not see reason then so be it: we will not submit to the traitors of the Atlantic Kingdom, nor to the royalist nationalists whom are oppressing the hard working people of Britain. We will never surrender.

HAPPY DAYS, HAPPY DAYS!

We have come so far since the dark days. London had fallen, but now it is risen once more, and its people are basking in the glow of their monarch! Chicago, a great American city, is under the benevolent rule of Her Majesty, Queen Madeleine. Triumph has been achieved for houses both Windsor and Bernadotte, but there is much work to be done!

Whatever work there needs to be done though in bringing back our nations to their former glory and surpass that glory, should be down together, in tradition of Anglo-American relations. Prince Carl Philip has exemplified that with his time in the Atlantic Navy, where he was a part of the task force that destroyed the Phoenix navy.

After the battle, Prince Carl proposed to Princess Eugenie, a proposal she happily accepted! A wedding was held, and the alliance between Bernadotte and Windsor, America and Britain, was complete.

The couple have since settled in America, and the Queen has given the couple the castle of Olana for their residence. They have also been granted the title and incomes for the Duchy of Maryland, as well as various other counties and baronies. The couple hope to have a happy and fulfilling life together, and they have teased that they hope to have their first child soon.

Three cheers for the happy couple! Three cheers for the alliance! Three cheers for Queen Madeleine and King Charles!

Hoorah! Hoorah! Hoorah!
