Forth off, synthetic oils require energy to produce them (that's why they cost money) either directly from electricity/other conventional power sources, or in the molecules of plants used to make the synthetic fuels (which need to be grown, harvested, etc. It's not just insert money get energy, you actually have to have the energy already

It's not. Provided the proper paperwork is done, fees are paid, etc, US patents last up to 20 years and no more. There are differences among different countries. But in general 20 years is the limit.

And of course, a countries patents are only valid in other countries if the other countries agree to it. Other countries are pretty much free to break all your laws. There isn't a lot you can do if they start breaking your laws besides asking nicely (which we'll ignore), asking your allies to help (you don't appear to have any of those), or going to war (to which I'll beat your armies down with my stick)
