Improved Aerodrome 1.1

Gives the Aerodrome adjacency bonuses and makes air fighter units easier to build.

    thecrazyscot submitted a new resource:

    Improved Aerodrome - Gives the Aerodrome adjacency bonuses and makes air fighter units easier to build.

    The Aerodrome receives a +1 Gold adjacency bonus for each Neighborhood, +2 Gold from the City Center, and +4 Gold from the Commercial Hub. This will hopefully make it more attractive to build.

    Additionally, the Aerodrome now no longer has a population requirement to be built, so it can be freely built in every city.

    Air fighter units (Biplane, Fighter, and Jet Fighter) no longer require the Aerodrome to build. This addresses the difficulties AI have in building air units.

    Good idea on both of these. I've never even seen the AI make air units.

    This mod has now been integrated into the Better City Specialization modpack. It is still available for separate download, of course.

    Have you considered the simple solution to this: Add a trade route to the aerodrome?
    Adjacencies are nice, but you won't be planning for them on such a lategame district.

    That's a great idea, but with how unwieldy trade routes quickly become in the late game I'm hesitant to add any more to the chaos until some improvements are made.

    Yo man, this Mod conflicts with some other one or broken. It crashes my game on reloads every single time, it is hard for me to pinpoint the issue because I am running a lot of Mods, I am a mod player. :)
    I haven't beaten the game yet and I am all about Mods. lol

    Nice concept, though I tried a previous version and didn't get gold only food. Should be both eh?

    Google how to activate the logs, and open up your mod log in the documents directory, it'll tell you what's crashing

    Hi thecrazyscot. Maybe this is not the proper Mod to make this suggestion, but chances are we get lucky.
    Now that we are playing on larger maps, I found very useless to have too short range of "flights" from Aerodromes. Do you think it may be possible to improve Aerodromes to also reach larger distances when lifting units to areas where we don't have cities of our own? Thanks in advance.

    I no longer support this mod, but I don't recall anything specific which would cause any conflicts.
