Like suggested here:
In Civ4, you can contact the foreign advisor (and every other advisor) while being in the diplomacy screen with another civ, so you could check the pacts with the others, what wars are going on, etc.
In Civ5, you can't.
It would be nice if you could, if you could check all the agreements, etc.
Please re-add this :).

YES...this should definitely be in there!

Very annoying that you can't tell what agreements you already have in place...I bet a lot of Pacts of Secrecy are messed up because of this!

You should be able to check anything you want, not just what the advisors have to say. Negotiations should be something you have to finish before you make any changes elsewhere, but not before you look elsewhere.

In Civ IV you could hit F4 when a leader asks you to cancel deals with someone else, so you could review what you'd be canceling.

This has disappeared from Civ V. Does anyone know if they plan to fix this at some point? I didn't see it on the post listing what will be in the upcoming patch, but not sure if I missed it anywhere else? This is a major usability bug, IMO.
