In Development - Resources

kk seems you haven't defined your files, you have only added them to the onmodactivated section not the files section :) I see Tin :D

seems its just that one

Code:
	<File md5="30DB7FFAF27AC9637DF3791881ED9339" import="0">Z_Global/ArtDefines_Resources.sql</File>

It looks really awesome, makes such a huge difference

I made a squid, same size as fish, but seems that they along with the other "animal" resources are hardcoded or set in a table we dont have access too, as they refer to a .dds that is not present, seems it builds the dds up of the relevent textures but I can not for the life of me see where. Ive reskind all the textures and overidden the default ones and it still displays the vanilla graphic...much anoying. .gr2's ftl :(

EDIT

Added pic

Is a shame about the squid, i guess the animals have a lot more going on behind the scenes with them being animated and stuff. Not that i know anything about this graphic stuff

mmm black cow

AFAIK there are some texture references in the Truffles model (and this possibly applies to the rest of the animal models) that aren't editable via IndieStoneNexusBuddy, but which you can see otherwise with Granny Viewer.

Yup that is the exact problem, and no idea how to make new ones or adjust old ones. Granny Viewer is exactly that a Viewer, cant even get it to load textures, might well be me since I am all new to this art stuff. Have Blender but no uptodate plugins for gr2, same for 3ds Max.

Due to some requests I have made some extra resources, Flax(Cotton Reskin), Barley(Sugar Reskin), Cacao(Citrus Reskin), Mango(Spice Reskin), Wild Berries(Wine Reskin) screenies in my grahpic thread 2nd post.

Well I have the xml's, update assignstartingplots, text files(with names only no descriptions) in the modcomp already so well most the hard part is done :), rest all depends if ya want to tie them into monopolies or not realy. Plus I think a few peeps seem to suffer from map lag with too many resources(I have never come across that prob myself).

Edit:

Also my additions seem to be missing the blur effect the vanilla ones seem to have ingame.

We'll have to update the Monopoly tree that I made, though - don't worry, it shouldn't be too hard. There are fewer buildings per resource than there once were. And Citrus still has to be added to the updated Monopoly tree.

There might be room for some of these new resources. Again though, I would hate to add stuff just for the sake of adding it. Perhaps we can discuss this more in the monopoly thread? And BTW, this looks amazing!

**EDIT**
Honestly, the reskins are so good that I'm looking into updating my graphics card (integrated atm) so that I can handle playing it the normal way....

If possible, resources should cluster around one location rather than being found evenly throughout the map. This would instigate wars over resources, an idea which I really like. It would also require you to choose your city sites carefully if you want to go for higher-up Monopoly buildings (if my proposal is implemented, that is).
