WORLD EVENTS

ENGLAND APPROVES SALE. San Salvador, USCA. As the English Civil War draws to a conclusion the Treaty of San Salvador has resolved several conflicts in the Caribbean Sea that resulted due to the massive English Civil War and the Bay of Pigs Incident between the Dutch and the CSA and USCA. The San Salvador Treaty has confirmed the sale of Jamacia to the USCA and the sale of the Bahamas and Bermuda to the Confederacy. This sale has sealed the fate of the English Empire as has the loss of the Asian colonies and the bloody civil conflict.

GERMANS UNLEASH WORLD'S BEST TANK. Berlin, Germany. With the Scandinavian announcement of the Gustav tank, the Germans have countered with yet another improvement on the Panzer II and have unvieled the Panzer IV. With improved guns and armor, the Panzer IV is more than equal to approximately a half dozen Lee tanks. In response the Soviets have announced the development of the Garibaldi tank, essentially a Lee with an improved cannon. Tests in fighting in North America demonstrate that it qualifies as approximately an even match to the Panzer II.

HEAVIER THAN AIR FLIGHT BECOMES COMMON. With new industries of aeroplanes developing in countries around the world, all nations now have capacity to at the very least build biplanes.

ENGLISH CIVIL WAR ENDS. London, People's Republic of England. Despite Free English shouts to fight on, the death of King Edward VI in battle has sapped the spirit of the resistance. Several devoted generals were shot as the army surrendered to the communists. However, the air corps of the English army have escaped to India. Despite this minor success in holding back communist expansion, the English navy has been captured and repaired for use by the communists. With the end of the English Civil War, the Soviet forces fighting in Asia have at last withdrawn from that theater and brought peace to the region as it develops.

MASSIVE CELEBRATION IN USCA. San Salvador, USCA. With the Treaty of San Salvador and the annexation of Jamacia, it seems to the Central Americans that their nation is the most powerful in the region. A massive fiesta has been held in honor of President Antonio who seems to have brought the United States of Central America from almost certain destruction to the hieght of local power it now possesses.

TEXAS ANNEXED BY CONFEDERACY. Richmond, CSA. The Accord of New Orleans has announced the formal annexation of Texas by the Confederacy. With the fall of General Eisenhower's force in Lubbock, the Texan military and government had no choice but to acknowledge dominion of the Confederacy over Texas. This concludes nearly a year long war between Texas and the Confederate States of America.

2ND GREAT AMERICAN WAR

US BEGINS DEPLOYING PANZER IV. Denver, USA. US military forces on all theaters, particularly the Californian front have begun deployment of the German designed Panzer IV, and it has accounted for itself incredibly well, shredding Free American armored divisions. However Free American air superiority in the eastern fronts has accounted for most casualties among the United States armored forces, as New Englander and Canadian Mule pilots expiriment with new style of strafing and attaching small bombs to the bottoms of the fighters.

US UNLEASHES GAS IN FIGHT FOR VANCOUVER. As fighting grows ever more brutal in the American city of Vanouver, the United States has unleashed posion gas against Free American forces attacking the city. Initially Canadian and Californian forces lacked any defense against gas, but thanks to New England and Soviet military advisors, they have been equipped with masks and have once more slugged their way closer to Vancouver. As of the end of the month, the Californians have come very close to potentially cutting off a large US army in Vancouver itself. Despite this apparent strategic success, the casualties in the current round of conflict on this front has grown ever higher as both sides deploy gas warfare.

Casualties

US: 32,000 Infantry, 230 Light Tanks, 80 Warhawks
Canada: 29,000 Infantry, 25 Lees, 30 Mules
California: 31,000 Infantry, 30 Lees, 25 Mules

US FORCES TAKE SALT LAKE CITY. Salt Lake City, occupied California. With support by Mormon irregulars, United States Army forces have siezed the city of Salt Lake City and occupied the former nation of Deseret. Advancing quickly in the lowlands, they've struck against Californian defensive positions in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. Casualties have been heavier compared to earlier amounts of deaths in the beginning stages of the campaign.

Casualties

US: 19,000 Infantry, 15 Panzer IVs, 20 Warhawks
California: 11,000 Infantry, 20 Lees, 10 Mules

US CUTS OFF CANADIANS IN BISMARCK. Bismarck, occupied USA. United States forces have successfully managed to push the Canadians off the Mississippi River under the command of General Bradley. With this victory, the last source of supplies for the Canadians in Bismarck has been cut off. However when approached with demands for surrender, the Canadian commander's reply was merely: "Nuts."

Casualties

US: 17,000 Infantry, 110 Light Tanks, 35 Panzer IIs, 10 Panzer IVs, 35 Warhawks
Canadian: 11,000 Infantry, 80 Lees, 15 Mules

US SLOGS FROM TORONTO. With the onset of a heavy unseasonal blizzard, US forces stuck north against the Canadian forces north of Toronto in an attempt to advance on Ottowa. Despite the blizzard neutralizing Free American air power, the United States Army hit heavy resistance, and suffered heavy casualties as they drove the Canadians mere miles away from the starting positions of the offensive. The bad whether has demonstrated to both sides that the Panzer IV is most certainly not a cold weather tank, while the Lee was somewhat prepared for the rigors of winter warfare.

Casualties

US: 27,000 Infantry, 40 Panzer IVs
Canada; 14,000 Infantry, 45 Lees

FIGHTING RAGES AT BUFFALO. Buffalo, New England. Massive US and New England forces have clashed at the city of Buffalo on the US-New England border. United States forces began the battle with an attempt to eliminate the New Englander Marine beachhead at the city, which resulted in near disaster for the Marines, who lacked any method for efficiently destroying the new Panzer IV. Essentially, the Panzer IVs proceeded to roll into the city, leveling buildings while the Marines were forced to take the pounding while brutally repulsing any US infantry assualts upon their positions. Only the arrival of the struggling armored column under General Stilwell from the east managed to relieve the marines in the city. Despite the timely arrival, US forces managed to secure the city in a later attack. Like the more northern Ottowa front, the heavy weather has forced the grounding of the superior Free American air forces. Finally, the fighting in Buffalo has reluctantly forced nations around the world to admit the need for development of a infantry anti-tank weapon.

Casualties

US: 21,000 Infantry, 70 Light Tanks, 25 Panzer IIs, 5 Panzer IVs
New England: 8,000 Infantry, 12,000 Marines, 30 Lees, 45 Garibaldis

FIGHTING BEGINS IN NYC. New York City, USA. Fighting has begun in New York City as New England forces push hard from the northeast. Though the New Englanders fielded only Light Tanks in the assualt from New London, the lack of supporting armor for the United States military was telling. The few Panzer IIs in the region managed to provide considerable deterrance to the Light Tanks, but numbers of infantry forced the US armies back across the border. The attack on the major port serious threatens United States Atlantic trade routes, especially as former Texan trade routes are cut off by the Confederate victory. Though the fall of New York is not as long-term economically damaging as the siege of Vancouver, the fall of the United States' largest port will definitely have resulting aftermath for the merchant marine of the USA.

Casualties

USA: 9,000 Infantry, 20 Panzer IIs
New England: 14,000 Infantry, 60 Light Tanks

SOUTH AMERICAN CONFLICT

COLOMBIANS UNLEASH SUPRISE ATTACK. As Pacific Accord forces advanced into Colombia, meeting little resistance they were curious to find out where the Colombian army had disappeared to. Arising like a vengeful beast from the jungles and mountains of southern Colombia, the Colombian army used a network of caves prepared along the border to surprise and attack Brazil's armies from the rear. Casualties inflicted upon Brazillian troops were heavy, and they have been forced to a halt as bridges and roads need to be repaired before the Brazillians can continue their advance once more. On the brighter side for the Pacific Accord, however, the Colombian air force and navy have been destroyed by air attacks by the Brazillian air force.

Casualties

Brazil: 53,000 Infantry, 35 Mules
Japan: 12,000 Infantry
Colombia: 21,000 Infantry, 25 Biplanes, 10 Destroyers, 14 Submarines

BRAZIL BESIEGES BOGOTA. With a surprise landing on the Colombian's northern coast, Brazil bypassed the defensive networks established in the south. Brushing aside Colombian resistance using superior numbers, Pacific Accord armies have reached artillery range of the Colombian capitol of Bogota.
