In Fallout 4,

Spoiler :
I found Kellogg in some military base. I talked to him a bit and then shot him in the face with the Fat Man. That was a very short fight.

Nice Sims reference. :)

This thread title is an abomination against god and nature and should be scalped, tattooed, hanged, and killed immediately if not sooner.

Indeed! A split infinitive is something up with which I shall not put! The correct title should be, "In What Electronic Entertainment Have You Been Partaking?"

Moreover, the correct title should be "What Videogames Have You Been Playing", with a number in whatever form the thread-maker deems appropriate.

100% in GTA Vice City. My life has no meaning anymore, unless I just get around to powering through the dance-based missions in San Andreas.

Seriously, this 120-day shutdown is so mind-numbing.

Allow my inner quasi-diploma'd linguist to reply with two words: Trace. Beach.

I finished my first full game of civ3 in about 15 years. I didn't win, mostly because I ended up on a fairly small island, but I successfully fought off invasions from several much larger nations and survived until time ran out.

Playing Standard League in Path of Exile. :D

Congratulations. Surviving is one way to win, in my estimation. That's why I was proud of myself the first time I played at the Deity level and survived.

I found my ToT disk the other day, and I know where my XP is (I can't make heads or tails of the instructions in the Civ II forum to make this playable on Windows 10).

Maybe when the current NaNoWriMo event is over, and my current round of reorganizing is done... maybe. Actually, I'll probably just carry on with my current gaming addictions of Pixel Art and Jewel Match. At least the Jewel Match wallpapers give me story ideas.

In Fallout 4 I've been having problems with NPCs getting onto one of the roofs in Sanctuary. First it was Trashcan Carla's brahmin:

Now it's gone but Sturges is up there

I don’t think I have ever played beyond what would be considered a “normal” difficulty in Civ3. Monarch was the only highest I’ve played solo on.

Though I really find it odd that I can’t even play past monarch yet I’m able to hop onto hard mode in Starcraft II, play in Mythic plus dungeons in WoW, play in hardcore mode in New Vegas and survival (abet modded to have it have the feel of NV’s survival mechanic) Fallout 4.

We each have our comfort zones in various games. A lot of the time when I play games, I'm playing for style, not necessarily the cutthroat win (though I've done that as well; it's handy knowing the Greek alphabet, as those are legal words in Scrabble).

I should mention that my Deity win was for Civ I. I don't remember if I ever managed it for Civ II. I recall some messy demises of my civs, though.

Just ignore it or fast travel somewhere else and back again.
Not sure why it happens but it doesn't stop farms being worked etc.

Sometimes when I've built on top of a Sanctuary house I've discovered NPCs stuck between the old roof and what I've built on top of it.

I'm super bummed more people here don't have a PS4 because I have a lot more to say about The Last of Us II.

Fudge it -
This game is all about sneaking around and using your senses (mainly hearing) to locate and track enemies to avoid them or kill them. The game play is pretty tight with level designs that give you options and challenges for moving around to stalk your prey.

One thing that this game does that I don't like is that they too often conceal their enemies such that you can't detect them at all until certain points. This makes it really hard to plan how to go through areas because they basically throw new enemies at you at inopportune times in order to drive tension. That's fine as far as keeping the player on their toes but it also dis-incentivizes a sneaky approach to playing the game. This means that I've resorted to mostly just blazing through sections of the game rather than trying to sneak through.

The game also leans too heavily on jump scares - to the point where I can usually predict which doors I open will result in a baddie jumping out.

They have put a ton of thought into the details of the game. Previously, when you upgraded a weapon at a work bench, you got super generic animation that didn't really show anything. In this game, you get specific animations as the new hardware is installed and even the icon representing the guns in your HUD reflect the modifications.

The story telling sets a new bar of excellence - as I said before, you can hardly go more than a few minutes without the characters chatting among themselves and filling in lots of great backstory with well-crafted lines.

On the SJW crap -
There is a female character in the game that is pretty buff. She was modeled on a female ultimate fighting champion and is actually considerably less buff than the real woman. But anyways, because she is buff, the manchildren have taken this to mean than she is therefore clearly a transwoman and this is also clearly a problem because it means the game is 'pushing an agenda'.

The fans don't deserve this game to be honest.
