Now that all ten of the Antiquity civilizations have been officially revealed, what order do you plan to play them in?
(I'm assuming that most folks are like myself and would want to try every civilization once before repeating themselves)

My first ten games:

  1. Greece
  2. Rome
  3. Mississippi
  4. Egypt
  5. Maya
  6. Maurya
  7. Han
  8. Persia
  9. Khmer
  10. Aksum

1) Persia
2) Egypt
3) Khmer
4) Han

But this will probably change over time

I’d like to try an economic path first because it’s new, definitely love to wonder build so that will also be one of the first
Maybe Civ7 can make me try military. I never liked that victory in Civ 6

I'm on the fence between Egypt and Mississippians.

Persia, Han, Han, Han, Rome...

I'll start with Egypt, and then try Persia. Probably evolve both into Abbasids - will be interesting to see how much the initial antiquity civ affects the gameplay

I'd like to start with a peaceful leaning civ to get used to the new mechanics, and Greece has extra influence to interact with diplomacy. Still got an eye on Egypt, though. If I decide I'm comfortable enough to some some conquering later, the Age transition will help me out. What I pick for my next games will depend entirely on what grabs me most of the mechanics.

Egypt, definitely. A builder of wonders, need I say more? :p I love civs with two unique buildings and unique Great People, so my second try will probably be Greece, and then Han China.

I'll probably stick to civs I'm "familiar with" in the beginning. But I'll eventually play all of them.

Greece is #1, followed by Rome and then Egypt. Persia after that. I'm not sure after that, maybe Khmer.

I'm also in the "play every leader and every civ" clan...

I'm sticking with Mississipians as first civ... because how cool is burning arrow heh ?

Persia with either Xerxes or Trung Trac will come, but probably more in the 3rd or 4th game, as I like to let myself get used to the game and it's complex systems before going all out domination

so I guess Greece and Maya before Persia...

I chose Maya because I thought they would have more votes. I should've checked which one was more popular before I voted. I see Mississippi seems cool. :cooool:

It's Mississippi for me, just because I'm so happy to see them included. Probably Greece next because that's more my vibe than Rome, and I'm keen to give the Normans a try. Maya third because Mesoamerica, then most likely an India game.

  10. Aksum

Rome - Maurya - Persia - Greece - Egypt - Han - Aksum - Maya - Mississippi - Khmer

Rome is always a first for me, plus I have to try out the differences in warmongering among the first three civs. Then try more peaceful routes with Greece and Egypt and see who can build the most wonders.

My top 4 are Maya, Han, Aksum and Greece.
Final order will depend on available mid/lategame Paths.
In general I have the problem, that the Cib´vs which interest me most have the abilities that interest me least and vice versa.

Probably Maya, but I’m not happy that there doesn’t seem to be an Aztec Exploration civ to morph into.

Mississippi are also exciting and new so I would like to play them first or second.
