India-Australia-New Zealand tri-series thread

12 balls to go, Australia need 21 runs...seems like another collapse in the offing...

And if that is utterly under control, Norway have just been crowned world cricket champions :p

D*mn...just as I post Symonds hit a four and a six and put Australia within 4 :(

And Australia win with 1 ball to spare - both Williams and Symonds were dropped with their last two balls :rolleyes:

Utterly under control; staging a show for the crowd and letting the lower order get a hit was a nice touch.

No, why would he need to? It was played in India, after all.

Australia beat NZ by 44 runs. Another top order collapse by the NZ batsmen. Bevan getting another 50+ not out for the Aussies.

I cant' see NZ beating India again this series, and therefore it will be an India vs. Australia final (as most people predicted at the start of the series).

347/2 by Australia, to beat India by 61 runs. Ho hum.

@Simon Darkshade
With the Poms having thrashed the mighty Bangladeshis 2-0 in Tests and 3-0 in ODI’s you will no doubt be relieved this was only a tri-nations and not a four-nations tournament. ;)

More seriously, I see Fred Flintoff has just gone to the top of the world all-rounders league. He recently passed Ian Botham’s record ODI no of sixes – and he achieved that in half the number of games. (Whoops – not allowed to mention the ‘B’ word in the same breath as Flintoff).

And how did England go against Sri Lanka first up?

Oh, and we bowled the Indians out for 198 in the final after making 235/5. We win. Again. :king:

Australia win the series with a second-string bowling line-up. True, most of them would make it into practically any other team first up, but they're not in the same league as McGrath & Co. yet.

Clarke is looking to become a world class one-day batsman. I think Lehmann may find it difficult to find his way back into the team.
