First two units of the pack is now availible, more to come shortly:

Now that next Rifleman is posted, vote in the second Indian unit election to help decide the next unit in this pack!

I've uploaded an alternate attack for the Indian Grenadier, for people who prefer a more realistic animation, its availible in the main download.

looks good but no shadow. and you messed up on the SW and S animations, as they are one and the same! (i think you forgot to rotate the guy the 45 degrees...)

Guess I can't fill the first post anymore than I already have, oh well:

Heres the first of round two:

The Bombay Native Infantry, for Steph since he requested a mid-19th century unit(this ones from the 1860s).

oops. yup, if you look closely, you'll see that the sword is in a slightly different position in the anims. sorry, but if you dont really look too hard, they seem identical.. sorry...

In that pic, he looks a lot like the prince in "Prince of Persia." :)

I think the sword should move faster when he strikes forward, and then slower when he pulls the sword towards him, it is possible to attack like he currently is, but I always found its better to strike strongly into something, than away from something (think axes ;))

Great unit and I think long time in waiting...

What units will be included in this India Pack.
I personally hopes for a early Horseman and of course the Indian Chariot.
Indian units have been many, but I think some has been made but yours will be a very great addition.

Thanks...

The attack is really too fast. His attack anim time is 400 ms by a delay of 10, and 40 frames per direction. For example, the Civ3 Immortal does his job in 1000 ms. To fit the speed of the Indian to the same anim time like the Immortal, you have to divide anim time by frames to get the delay. In this case: 1000 ms / 40 frames = 25 delay. That value you have to set in Flicster and co. Unfortunately, some viewer, like Civ3Flc, don't play the speed in real time. Therefore it looks slow.
Though, good job :). The center problem can be solved. Too bad, that he hasn't a shadow.

just one question, how do you recenter units with Civflicedit or flicster? I've looked over both programs and it only gets me confused...
I don't have either in front of me, but I recall in Civ3FLCEdit there is a menu option called "adjust offset" under the TOOLS menu.
I seem to recall a similar setting in Flicster.

I happen to remember the C3FE one because it messed up several of my units by selecting some strange off-set for the animations, and so I had to use the tool to fix this. With Flicster I never had to use it.

It's simple with the last version of CivFlicEdit (Im using Build 3.1.7.101)
First, use the menu background / grid, so you can easily see where the center is (compare with a original firaxis unit to see where they put the feets of your guy)
Then use tool / change offset
Just change X and Y until you see your guy where he should be, and save.
That's all

With Flicster, it's much more complicated.
