INES III: Storm Tapestry

Well, the other time you broke it, you broke it for me, and my "surprise ending", story about the paintball war in 2054. Perhaps not a compliment, but.. still. (This story was also referential to the 2054 story. Kind of.)

I BELIEVE LIZ. WORK DAT MAGIC BABY.

Orders nearly finished.

Don't time have time to finish the Heraclio storyline now, so working on something better for after the update.

Second Japanese Empire of the Proletariat, and Proletarian Republic of China, orders sent. TLK asked me to make light that he has written his orders, but seeing the site go down, went to bed. They will probably be in sometime tomorrow.

Couldn't he have sent them through you? Oh well.

12/14 orders in. Deadline here. 111,074 words of orders all game so far, and I have swapped the last four I got into the file yet.

You may overspend by up to double your ASP, but for every two points you overspend in your orders, the ASP in your stats will be reduced by one. If Jonny’s nation has an ASP of 4 and he spends 6, next turn his ASP will be 3, and his ASP the turn after that will still be 3 if nothing changes. This emergency spending tactic might serve in a pinch if you get invaded.
Note that while many of the sections of the stats elaborated below detail traditional ways to spend ASP, you can spend ASP in any way you see fit, even if something is not specifically in the rules. Want a powerful spy agency? Start investing ASP into your very own KGB rip-off, and soon you’ll have the best secret agents in the world. Just don’t forget to remind me how much you’ve invested into your side projects in your orders.

What if I overspend by just one? Do I still lose an economy, or do I lose one the second time I overspend by one?

My discretion, based on how healthy your economy is.

Just so you know Imago, the color should remain the same dark green.

Kɔnɔntɔn Marcois crouch walked down the alley way, towing behind him the long wire he had been given. On his back was one giant speaker, heavy enough to make him cringe with each step. He looked at his helmet visor. . 5:55. I gotta hurry up. And so his crouch walk quickly turned into a full out run. It wasn't long until he reached the end of the ally, near the main road, when the ground started shaking. Tank after tank started rolling by, with helicopters flying overhead. It's starting. Hurredly, Marcois pulled out an array of pipes and metal playes, forming them together in a stand just the size for the speaker he was holding. Across the street, he could see Kɔnɔntɔn Yoweri doing the same thing. After a little bit of a struggle, the speaker was in place, just as more chopters flew overhead. Finally, almost as an afterthough, Marcois plugged the long wire he'd been carry in. A slow orchestra faded in, almost as if hesistant to announce itself. But sure enough, the entire city soon shook with the thunder of the sound, mixed in with the tanks of course. But the real treat came when His voice began. His voice always reassured Marcois. Hopefully it would reassure these people too. Snow began falling almost at the same instant. Yes, it was cold, but the Kelen's words would keep him warm enough. Yes indeed, the Kelen was everywhere. Even here.

Ahmad stood in awe, still unable to believe that he was to be privy to a meeting consisting of perhaps the greatest figures in all of Islam. How he had gotten to this point, and so quickly, was still a mystery to him. Sure he had been an exceptional leader in the Balkans, one of the few in his division who had had the wit and savvy to outfight the Roman devil clones. The promotion to colonel had come as little surprise. And yet what had followed was still unbelievable to him.

Ali Jafari, the fiery imam whose name was only slightly less well known than that of the Supreme Leader, had chosen him, him of all people, as his chief Adjutant when Jafari was placed in command of all recruitment efforts throughout the Umma. Plucked from obscurity, Ahmad was now somebody, mingling with the mover-and-shakers of the nation.

Standing at the door to the meeting room, he was positioned directly behind his boss, Jafari, who sat at one end of the table. To Jafari's left sat Fayid Al-Assan, overall military leader of the Iranian armies. To his right was a representative of President Wahid of Java. Next to Al-Assan sat Mohammed Khamenei, grandnephew of the Supreme Leader and his favored successor. Across the table was President Gahiji of Egypt. And of course, at the head of the meeting was the Supreme Leader. Ahmad could hardly believe that he, a mere soldier who only a year ago had been fighting in the frontlines of the war, was now in the presence of all these great men. He listened intently as their meeting began.

"Welcome my brothers," the Supreme Leader began. "I am sure you all know why we are here. I believe the time has arrived to announce our plans to the world. Gahiji, I presume Egypt is still in agreement"

"Of course. The Egyptian people are excited at the prospects. This will grant Muslims a new level of power on the world stage."

"Thank you my friend. And tell me Mr. Malik, does your President still wish to proceed?"

"Yes, without a doubt. Java is eager for this opportunity."

"Then it is settled gentlemen. From this moment forward, there shall be no more Iran, or Egypt, or Java. Only The Ummah."

The men around the table, as well as the other aides and adjutants along the wall gave a small round of applause before the Supreme Leader continued. "General Assan, how go preparations for the war?"

"Never better, sir. I can promise you that before the season is over, more than 200 divisions will march to battle in the name of Allah. Perhaps more, if the imam can carry through."

Ali Jafari straightened up, staring at the man to his left. "I assure you, the masses will be risen. India and Rome will be crushed like a bug under a hammer for daring to tamper with Allah's power."

The Supreme Leader cut in before he could continue. "Thank you. Well my brothers, today marks a new page in the history of the world. Allāhu Akbar!"

To: The World
From: The Supreme Leader

Today, I announce the unification of Iran, Egypt, and Java into a single state, The Ummah. The Muslim community will unite as one to crush those who wish to destroy them, and to end the impudence of those who seek to tamper with Allah's power. Allāhu Akbar.

OOC: 200 Divisions? Bah. I can have more Irregulars IN MY SLEEP.

Oh, these are JANISSARIES I presume? Glad to know that one of the minor members of the System can produce to the capacity of the Ummah, not counting quality, if course.

The Kelen finds your lack of faith disturbing. India will be dealt with soon enough.

Get back in your hole and stop trolling.

Well, no orders from germanicus yet. If I have to deal with Texas and Victorian Atlantis before he sends, I'm not stopping.

Can someone send in contingency orders for him?

Sure.

orders for texas.

Continue contributing 1 or 2 ASP to the communal tech pool to steal research from the UKA or its allies usuing cyberwarfare.

Send propaganda and espionage/intelligence agents (Using our tech in that) into mainland American UKA to continue to destabalize the population (perhaps using some of teh UKA's own brainwashing/manipulation techniques against them) and turn them against their masters. Play up the damage done to the canadians and the inhumanity forced upon the soldiers who fight in the UKA's army and the sheer disparity between teh nobility and the people.

Spend 1 ASP to design a strike-fighter UU that makes use of all the avionics, stealth, electronic warfare, etc etc techs we have. Share it with PADNA members.

Spend the rest of the money on those strike-fighters.

Launch an assault on mainland UKA from inland using new fighters and existing army and 2/3 of airforce. Use rest of airforce and navy to secure coasts and intercept UKA shipping. If we can fight their navy in drips and drabs do that- preferably in conjunction with temporary allies in the LIARS or other associations.

There... back up orders in case you need to NPC him.

I was just starting to use those, but I see germanicus is on now, so if he gets something in in half a hour, I'll take whatever is sent.
