[BTS] Infinite Turn Loop glitches makes Civ 4 BTS unplayable

I've never had an issue where the game got stuck in an infinite loop, or even with the turns taking an unreasonable amount of time to pass. And I've played out Huge Marathon games to a Space Race victory with BUG/BULL.
Where did you buy Civ IV from, what patch are you running, any mods, OS, etc?

I've never heard of this issue either in my 12 years playing the game. Sounds like a technical issue of some sort, and as AcaMetis mentioned, we will need more information to assist.
In other words, it doesn't matter how great a machine you have, if you have a bad install or are using an unstable mod, technical issues are the result.

There’s a manual override for it built into recent builds of Ancient History, can’t remember how it works though
