Install Error adobe acrobat 3.01 requires windows 3.1x 16 bit

Hello. I know this is an old question, but I would like to install Civ4 Complete Ed. on my WinXP desktop computer. When I do, I get this error: "the version of adobe acrobat 3.01 requires windows 3.1x 16 bit. setup cannot continue."

Any ideas? Thanks.

Still wondering if anyone has any ideas. I seem to remember something like this when the game first came out, or something related to WinXP to Vista, but no specifics. Thanks.

I don't remember seeing this. Is it trying to install acrobat during the civ install?

No. The problem is on my desktop, which is running XP. I can install on my laptop, running Win7 with no problems (actually I have other problems there - crashes).
