Installation and Activation

So I downloaded C2C for my Steam version of Beyond the Sword. I placed the Caveman2Cosmos folder in my steamapps/common/Sid Meier's Civilization IV Beyond the Sword/mods folder, then went in-game, but I can't find C2C on the list of mods to load. I see some new titles, something about "Age of Ice" or something, but nothing related to C2C itself. I've searched every corner of Youtube, Google, Moddb, the Readmes, and the FAQ on this forum, and I haven't found a single tutorial or guide on installing and activating this mod. Even "detailed setup" videos on Youtube just skip the activation and installing of the mod as if it should be instinctual knowledge or something.

So I'd like to know: how exactly do I install, then run, this mod?

Have you manually updated to v3.19? You need to download and install the patch yourself. The in game upgrade does not work.

You need to use the steamapps/common/Sid Meier's Civilization IV Beyond the Sword/beyond the sword/mods folder instead.
