installation error

When I try to install this game onto my comp that actually has acess to the internet, this comes up:

Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

What should I do?

Sounds like there is something wrong with your CD/DVD. I'd take it back and get a replacement.

Except it works on my other computer, which doesn't have access to the internet. Maybe its my computer? Really, I kinda just wanted to know what the heck a "cyclic redundancy check" is.

It's not a great deal of help but does suggest checking your drive's connections and cleaning the disk.
