I'm adding covert operations to a scenario of mine, and I wonder if anyone has seen fighter aircraft with Hidden Nationality intercept bomber aircraft owned by a nation at peace with the fighter owner?

I would set it up for testing myself if I wasn't at work now, but I will set it up tonight unless someone already knows the answer.

Well, I've tested it now and hidden nationality fighters do not intercept bombers from nations they're not at war with, neither over others territory nor over their own.

So giving them HN would be pointless on defense… but how are they treated when bombarding? perhaps HN bombers can be intercepted by HN fighters.

Hidden nationality bombers can bomb anything you want regardless of whether you're at peace with the target. But they can also be shot down by AA or any fighter defending the target, and this includes hidden nationality fighters. HN fighters also intercept ordinary bombers from a civ you're at war with.

Edit: I'm thinking a Bay of Pigs scenario here with a HN invasion force supported by HN A-26 Invader bombers...

Hmmm. Let's assume there's a city I'm bombing with HN bombers and right next to it -within range- there's a neutral city with fighters on Air Superiority missions. Will those neutral fighters engage my bombers?

Tested it. Yes, neutral fighters will engage a HN bomber over another civ's city. Also fighters at war with that city will still intercept the HN bomber.
