Interface help

[Shafi-is-back]

So far enjoying the game. But the interface seems a bit confusing to me. Two things i need help with. Appreciate if someone can get back to me.

(1) How do you turn on resource icons?
(2) My tech web somehow shrunk into a sort of stratigic view that shows the whole web, how do i get back to the normal view of the tech web?

1) There is an icon near the top left of your mini map that opens up different overlay options like showing resources.

2) It sounds like you zoomed out, scroll the mouse wheel to zoom back in (sometimes it seems oversensitive and will zoom out when I didn't expect it to, maybe some cursor gesture causes it?)

1) Next to the minimap in the top right corner is a little circular button. If you press that, one of the options will be to display resources.

2) Zoom in with your mouse wheel (or however else you'd normally zoom into something).

BTW - who else finds the city view a bit difficult compared to civ? the citizen allocation screen is not as clear as it was in civ and BTS as far as im concerened.

My only gripe with that one is how huge the worker circles are. I can barely see the yields underneath with those giant dots in the way.

My only complaint is that they put the pop-out for the map options (hex,yield, resources and so on) right over the hex yield tool tip.

So annoying.

well, yes that is what i meant to say. i cant really see the yields so it pretty hard to assign citizens.

Another question - does anyone know how to cash in favors? i dont seem to be able to find that option

It took me a good couple of minutes too to locate how to turn on the resource icons etc.

Ok, heres another question, how do you allocate specialists? i dont see where the specialist slots are ...

They are at the buildings list at the top left, sometimes you have to click a plus sign to see the list of buildings that have specialist slots
