Internet Connection Keeps Dropping

I just moved into a new place and we had cable internet installed two days ago. When I plug my computer directly into the modem with an ethernet cable it works fine. Well my wife has a laptop too so we plugged our wireless router into the modem so we could have multiple devices connected at the same time.

Here's where we run into the problem: When just one device is connected via the wireless router the internet is fine, but once more than one device is connected the internet drops the connection every 30 seconds or so. I thought it might be an IP address conflict, but each device on the network has a unique IP address. I also called the cable company and had them check the modem and they say the modem is working perfectly. This means it's the wireless router that is the problem.

I've updated the firmware for the router and made sure all of the settings were what they should be, but the connection still drops everytime there is more than one device connected. Oh, and the connection drops on my Xbox 360 even if it's the only device connected.

The wireless router I'm using is a Belkin N150 model F9K1001. I've gone through their tech support and they couldn't help me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I'll take a look at those solutions and see if any of them work. If not, then I'll just have to take Zelig's advice and get a new router. The router that is causing the problem is a few years old anyway.
