Attached are some screenshots how individual cities painted in the resource file will appear on the map when the cities-graphic (here rEURO) are set to transparency (magenta). In this way you can transfer pictures from your home-city or other cities to the Civ 3-map.
An other way to form individual cities is to copy a wonder from the buildings-large file to the resource file. A screenshot to demonstrate how sharp this wonder-city appears on the map is attached.
It´s not too difficult. I have attached a resource-city-graphic file with the city-resources you can see on the screenshot and a terrain file marsh that I have renamed to city-spot so you can experiment a little bit with this technic (but always first save the files you want replace !!) .
If you have some good city-pictures on your resource-file, I would be glad to see them posted here.
