I thought I would throw down an invitation to see if anyone has interest to learn python with me, I already know a good deal of python language, and program mostly in C#, but the point to this exercise is to teach a few people from scratch, and to get feed back on my new wiki site(see my signature below).
I would like to cover the API in a lot more detail then I have seen on the regular wiki page (which is imo fairly incompleate), and provide a few code snipets, and tutorials that start from the ground up.
My personal failing right now is that I know very little of the Civ IV API, which is basically the command set that gets provided to Python from the Civ IV SDK, but I don't think it will take to long to pick up on it, as I have had to do this kind of thing many times before.
Anyhow if your interested in learning (or teaching) the ways of going about getting into python modding, I'd love your help with my page.
Its sole purpose is to aid the Civ IV modding community, here and elsewhere, and when the page is aproaching a V1.00.00 status I will be also looking for proper hosting, as the current one I have is for small thouroghfare only, and it will go down if bandwidth is exceeded, and if it does, then that will just be tough luck till the end of the month - sorry bout that.
If you do drop in to look at the wiki, keep in mind I only put it up this morning, but I have already brought up within it the tone, and perhaps even the goal of the wiki, one that I felt many other sites I visited were lacking in.
