    Ionut's Civs

    Well this is it. My little side project that has been over 7 months in the making. Ionut’s civs has been my test bed of every civ I have created, and adds a total of 11 new civs to the current vanilla ones.

    This version adds several new graphic updates to the original civs. As well as the Queen Sandy add on for Romania. Originally it was supposed to be plug and play compatible, however after something like 4 months of constant modding of civs and endless hours of staring at xml files my brain has said enough. But do not fear a plug and play version is on the way, I cant say when it will come, but it is on its way.

    Check the 4th post for all change logs.

    Download

    [BtS Modular] Ionut's Civs

    To run any of my modular files, you need to go into your BtS config file (My Docs/My Games/Beyond the Sword/Civ4Config.ini IIRC), and change
    ModularLoading = 0
    to
    ModularLoading = 1
    then install the file into your Beyond the Sword mods directory. The file is set up to run immediately so you dont need to create any folders. Then start up your game, go to advanced, then load a mod and select your mod. And it should work.

    Special thanks go out to:
    WYZ_sub10, Shqype, Ekmek, ElGrillo, Drtad, pay-t, woodelf, Mirc, asioasioasio, blacksun.
    If I have missed anyone please send me a pm and I will be sure to add you to the list.

    LOL yup that and I just really like their history, much more interesting than Greek and Roman history! :lol: But then many "Barbarian" cultures are more interesting ;) Also I just love the Romanian country its just beautiful. If you look in the background of Decebalus you can see some of the mountain ranges. But here is an unobstructed view.

    I'll be damned if I can remember what these mountains are called though. :( Its been to long since I downloaded this picture and I have forgotten the orginal link.

    Nice to see them all together:D

    And on other news, I prefer my own Limburg over Romania (no offence:) )

    I don't know why, it hasn't got that many beautifull mountain sites (it hasn't even got mountains:rolleyes: )

    But it has got this

    , that's Schinnen on a cloudy day...

    But anyway... this nice little combination of your civs really is handy:goodjob:

    hehehehehe nice. :goodjob: Thanks for the compliments too btw ;)

    I just remembered where that photo is from, its the Ocolaşul Mare Peak in the Ceahlău mountains. One of the Mountains that is thought to be the Kogaion, a holy mountain, scared to the Getai. It can be equated to mount Olympus in Greek mythology. It is said that the Getai god Zalmoxis went into a cave under the mountain and stayed there for 3 years. Believing their spiritual leader dead the Getai mourned him. However he arose 3 years later to teach the Getai of the afterlife and resurrection.

    Thanks. This should help to wet peoples apitite of CivGold4 too since about half of these are in it already :D I should be getting started soon on some new factions for EBCIV, and that means new ones for here too! :mischief: The current plan is to update every 5 civs or so, or when I can be bothered lol:lol:

    If you really want to compete I can put some picute os Australia around where I live up. They will blow you away!:lol: Nothing on this earth can compare with the simple rugged majesty of the Australian landscape.

    :rotfl: yes you may be correct. The mountains in europe are a completely different thing to the Australian Landscape. Have you ever seen pictures of the Australian Red Center? (The Outback for all you non Aussies :lol: ) Or perhaps the Daintree rain forest? The Blue Mountains and the Victorian Alps and incredible as well, you will never see a more harsh but beautiful place than Australia. I say harsh because it doesn't matter where you go in these environments, if your not probably prepared they will kill you.;)

    Of course I disagree with the "you'll never see a more beautiful place," but I concede that I would like to visit Australia and revel in the natural beauty of the country. :)

    Ofcourse I would never say that Albania or any where I have never visited is not a "more beautiful place" than Australia, however if you haven,t been here to see the sun set over Ularu you don't know what you are missing. For all I know I will go to Europe and love the scenery more than my homeland. I already love the Romanian "Scenery" more than the Australian "Scenery" :lol:

    Yup if you don't mind driving for 2 days :lol: But seriously I live in Melbourne Victoria, Ularu is in the Southern end of the Northern Territory so it is a fair way off from me.
