Are you referring to how the US almost has enough provinces for once? It scares me too. Nothing wrong with WA, though. In my completely uninformed opinion, it's more dense than the rest of Africa.

What program do you guys actually use to open the IOTVII and Vicky2 maps, I can't find one that works, and I tried both pain (!) and GIMP.

It is probably quite correct for lots of things however seeing as the USA only has a few more provinces than West Africa yet in most IoT's has about 4 (if not more) people in it does seem like a problem to me.

I was able to open both of those maps on MS Paint, both 7 and XP.

I use a Mac version of Paint. You can open .pngs in a lot of things.

The file might just be too big. I can't open them for that reason.

I found a blank map of Victoria 2 on Paradox Forums. There are some words on the bottom left, but that isn't too hard to remove.

The New Zealand provinces (especially in the North Island) are a bit wierd

But, overall, a really good map!
