"Pirates are fun!"Piracy is cool
"I didn't say we weren't fun Hans, but fun or not, pirates are still the baddies."

Let's don't forget, how West closed his eyes, then SA actively bombs civilian targets and made blockade, that cause famine in houthis citesThe Houthis are committing piracy on the open seas. More than half the ships they have fired at or boarded were not heading to either Israel or Gaza. I suppose the Not West thinks piracy is cool.
I don’t care about the Houthis. I do care about consumer prices.
Their logo says “death to America” on it. They are not our homies. It's never been in doubt that you care more about money than human beings
That's a premature conclusion. The Ukranian airforce was never particularly strong, and the Russian has underperformed badly. My mind goes to the fact that we have already seen that missiles and drones have made tanks and planes obsolete in Ukraine. So how do we know that these ships cannot be crippled with swarms of cheap weapons? I think Russia can tell you about losing ships. We are all in a lot of trouble.
See PREY by Michael Crichton, 2002 for where we are headed.
Did you miss the "Not that it's the only one doing it"?I would really welcome some insight here. Lebanon is controlled by terrorists, most of Syria also. Is Assad legitimate now? What about Turkish invasion? Russian soldiers still there? It seems all shady to blame Israel only?

I'm not sure an appeal to whether or not a group of humans are "on our side" matters when you literally just said you care more about consumer prices (i.e. things that affect you personally). What do you care if they are your homies or not? You just said you don't care about them.Their logo says “death to America” on it. They are not our homies.
One of those things led to another and I don’t even have a logo. What do you care if they are your homies or not? You just said you don't care about them.

Does your moral indignation cost you anything?
Absolutely there is. The Houthis attacking ships in the Red Sea, making shipping more resource-consuming and expensive, is going to affect all of us at least indirectly, and all of us includes people of lesser means. It would not be a stretch in my imagination to think that poorer countries and poorer people aren't going to be able to absorb those costs as easily as you or I could. Is there a point to this
And the causal chain ends with the Houthi's actions? So you care about stuff only downstream of that action, and not upstream?Absolutely there is. Your comment has nothing to do with what I addressed. What's the point of Israel committing genocide? Are the Israelis doing the planet a favor or something?
Fwiw, for me the point is that the genocide of a people should suck and frankly exerting pressure on international trade seems like a pretty legit riposte considering the disparity in power of the groups involved.
I have zero loyalty to this type of project and jsut want our part in it to end as soon as possible.
