Iron and Blood - Game Thread

Should my max army output be higher? I count more than 8 cities.

2 IC into stability
2 IC into a factory in New England
2 IC into a factory in Great Lakes
2 IC into science

Looks like you have 4 able to be used out of a max of 5. 1 is lost to corruption - you'll need to get your stability higher to get the full IC that your factories produce.

EDIT: xpost...

Industrialize Spain-3 IC into a factory in Spain
Centralize the government- 1 IC into stability
Give out out government grants- 1 IC into science

Attack british colony of tunisia with all armies.

For that matter, nobody seems to be getting the 2x bonus to maximum armies allowed from owning more core cities. I have 7 core cities and 100% stability, but can somehow only field 6 armies.

The improvements to Librulstan's postal system have been heralded as a massive success, and made it the envy of the world's postal systems. In addition to affordability and accessability, it is now much quicker and more efficient, with much less mail being lost or misplaced. Where once mail could take months to get from place, now even mail sent from Colorado to the Alaskan border and vice versa will arrive at its destination in under a month. With the sucess of the postal reforms, more internal improvement programs are under way to speed up industrialization and give better weapons to the soldiers, should Librulstan ever need to create a larger standing Army.

Pacific Republic of Librulstan
4 IC into researching the "Revolver" Upgrade
4 IC into 2 Factories in Yukon

  • 3 IC to Bengal
  • 3 IC to Cultural Influence3 IC TO SCIENCE!
  • 3 IC to Stability

Get more cities. Core cities give 2 capacity, others give only one.

Yes, I made a lot of mistakes in this area. You're supposed to be able to build 2 units for every core city and one for every non core city. But no one can build anything close to their unit limit yet anyway.

Simon Bolivár looked over his newly formed empire, his Colombia. After uniting the local native tribes and overthrowing the warlords of past, President Bolivar was looking forward to a modern Colombia. He knew he had to industrialize in order to compete with the economic powerhouses of the world. Also, he realized that only through scientific progress could his nation move forward. To achieve his goals, he knew corruption in the government must be cut down.

Gran Colombia:

Income: 6 ICs

Stability: 2 ICs
Science: 2 ICs
Factory in Colombia: 2 ICs

TK, what do you expect average income to be when everyone gets to the final tier of armies and navies?

  • 3 IC to Cultural Influence

I'm not even going to bother because it's been said three times.

Orders Close Friday 8:00 NZT (Thursday 21:00 GMT) - For on Saturday update soon after.

Please check claims here and update the discussion there accordingly. As I will use this in providing updates going forward.

Speaking of orders closing and updates, will you have a specific update schedule, or what?

Not yet, but I would like to at least do 2 a week. This will be my first one so, will take a little bit of time. I think Thursdays and Mondays may be good.

Don't leave us, Zack! He's still sort of the GM!

I am sorry to see zack leave the game. Even though we were opposed to each other in general, the game will be much less interesting without him.

But Britain will not stand idly by and watch this open territory be split up without it. We now resume our claim on Iceland/Greenland. We also ask that nobody oppose these claims as that would be unfortunate, and we believe we have the best claim on these pieces of ice. We suggest that the rest of the SRO territory be split up by the BA, as it is within their Sphere.
