Is Colusus completely useless (in double produc)

I find the Colusus (one of my favorite wonders in non-multi player) to be completely useless in multiplayer on double production, which I always play on. Is this a fact?

No wonder is completely useless, but some are more desirable than others...

The Colossus is ALWAYS worth having, but if I have to sacrifice something for it, NO WAY.

I would rather have HG, or even the Pyramids then the Colossus though.
