I need one of those.
We can't "run out of cash"... we can only decide we are unwilling to devalue currency/create inflation.
Exactly... It's purely political theater/manufactured crisis.
You can run out of cash, in that the Congress literally can decide to not borrow any more. The Fed will only print under specific circumstances. So, unless government spending triggers those conditions, they can run out. The Fed can cheat, but only a bit. I've not idea how the Constitution deals with an actual attempt by Congress to default. By the time the Fed's automatic printing conditions are met, it's pretty deep into a crisis. Which, honestly, is not the worst. Even if it sucks. The marginal tax rates are too low, and that's most of the problem.
The US is so into domination… what is the safe word?
Democracy at its finest.
Or you can go with a t-shirt for less.
Trump loosed a series of tweets suggesting that the rebellious Democratic congresswomen weren't born in America. Ocasio-Cortez, Tlaib and Pressley are natural-born US citizens, while Omar was born in Somalia and immigrated to the US when she was young. Omar became a citizen in 2000 when she was 17 years old, according to the New York Times.
Trump sarcastically suggested, "they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."
I'm not sure whether I'm more shocked at the naked racism of Trump or at his unexpected ability to use proper grammar. Okay, he neglected to hyphenate "crime-infested," but look: "from which they came." He didn't end the sentence with a preposition! Putin must have coached him with this one.
He has a writer that does handle some of his tweeting.
That must be one miserable job!
So now the big question is: How many republicans will explain away that direct racism or just ignore it and how many will speak up against it?
Trump is just unraveling more and more, especially in his mind. He‘s still not done though...
All of them.
None of them.
The better question is how many of them will endorse it just as openly as he did it. It used to be that when D'ump was baldly and openly racist it was pretty easy to get into an argument about "what he really meant/how he is being misrepresented." At this point I find the response is far more often "yeah, he said it, good on him."
I.e. the U.S. of A.?
Gods, I so wish this was sufficiently unacceptable
I wish there was such a thing. I think the one service D'ump has done for us is reveal just how much totally unworkable thinking was lying just beneath the surface. I've definitely moved from "the red staters are backwards but they're human and we have to try to bring them along" to "dissolution is the answer, let the red staters sleep in the bed they've made...with the fishes."
And they come in colors! (sort of)
You already know the answer.
I'd say take your little gaggle of cackling hens, stick your heads in a toilet and flush, but I've never seen one with adequate turd capacity for the task.
Ah well, we've got the President excreting odious filth everywhere online, what's a little more.
Everybody knew who trump was and what he was when they voted for him and with the greatest of respect, if you didn't you were either naive or willfully ignorant.
If people still want to claim Trump isn't a racist we need to start asking them what they think racism actually entails.
Nothing says 'I am above all this' like telling someone to sit and spin. But you said 'both sides' so it's ok.
You grossly overestimate the engagement of the average American. But yes, nobody increased my opinion of them by voting for Assclown.
Oh, I forgot, "none of them" was taken as a premise. A legitimately stupid one, but w/e. Excrement online needs repositories, I suppose this is sometimes one of them!
Indeed, plenty of Republicans will fall over themselves to support trump.
Reports are coming in from L.A., N.Y., etc. that the trumpeted ICE raids have not detained any more people than normal.
Another Trump nothingburger?
Separate names with a comma.
