Is God using Trump to further His plan?

This thread started out somewhat interesting, but has become a bit dull, IMO, & a generic "Christian God vs not!!!!". I say: let people with Faith have their Faith. I have tilted at faith-windmills many, many times in my life. It serves no purpose. Let them believe in their fairy tales.

Unless & until they try to legislate based on their beliefs of course. Until they cross that Rubicon (which they have many times, & then is worth a discussion), just let them hang out in their mental space with the people who believe in getting reincarnated as a beetle, or go to Valhalla, or whatever. As long as they don't try to affect laws, which doesn't seem to be the case here with @Core Imposter, who just seems to be a garden variety stump preacher, then who cares what Santa Claus-for-Adults nonsense they believe in?

What if god is working together with the devil, and are both using Trump?
Maybe on a non-material plane, having orange skin transforms to something those entities can more easily latch onto, I don't know.

He wants to make abortion illegal lol

I am happy to see the issue sent back to the states and I want to keep it there. I support making it easier to adopt and support incentives for people to adopt. We have a lot of stupid laws and practices that act as barriers and it's as if we'd rather abort kids than risk putting them in families that might be imperfect This isn't strictly a religious issue.

Unfortunately, our political system seems to be set up to use issues for fundraising purposes which makes solving problems a loser tactic for the politicians. Sometimes it's easy to lose sight of how blessed we are in this country because of our frustration over things that seem like they could easily be solved.

Lying is a sin. You tell me you don't want a national abortion ban, and I'll call you a liar.

God could have aborted the human race but at what cost? Life is precious and eternal.

Well he's going to abort the human race anyways by bringing about the apocalypse isn't he?

So logically it would make sense for him to abort humanity earlier rather than waiting so long until the human population exploded in size. Purging every human right after Jesus' crucifixion would have been morally easier since only millions of humans were alive back then, now there are billions.

This can only mean God is sadistic, cruel, and WANTS a higher kill count by waiting so long! He's not merciful! He's actively malicious! Therefore we can conclude he isn't just but therefore EVIL! Thus he is unworthy of worship.

the typical boring atheist response
That's not it. The typical boring atheist response is: no evidence, next.

The Bible is quite interesting since it's an ancient work of art, and has insights in how people lived a long time ago. With regard to history and morality you do have to pick and choose. Baby Jesus going back Bethlehem doesn't make any sense, and quotes like "Only in the cities of these peoples that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, you shall not leave alive anything that breathes." are a little unsavoury.

On the other hand, big fan of the Golden Rule and "Love your neighbor as yourself". But these sentiments can also be found in holy books from other religions.

Editor's note: I'm a big Boston Bruins fan, so needling me is rather easy. Just mention the last playoffs where a historical season was ruined by a round 1 exit :( Extra marks for mentioning Matthew Tkachuk .

God could have aborted the human race but at what cost? Life is precious and eternal. Suffering is altogether beyond understanding, but I know joy. It's worth it. God loves us enough to let us suffer and He sheds tears with us. Love everlasting - we are God's children. Put your trust in Him and He will make things right.
Didn't work out so well for Job's family, or anyone but Noah at the time.

Jesus going back Bethlehem doesn't make any sense

In Hebrew Bethlehem is Beit-lehem. Beit means bread, lehem means house. Bethlehem = house of bread. Jesus is the bread of life.

That was the point of him being born there. Bethlehem is also where the Davidic dynasty began.

Isn't God using everything under the sun to further His plan? Every leaf and every rock and every blade of grass? What makes Trump special other than that OP is a far-right Republican who wants to support and vote for Trump?

If you want to make human stupidity religious then Trump is a false prophet

This image tells you all you need to know about the heresy which is what passes for Christianity among the American right.

Send the issue back to the states is explicitly Satan's goal.

Christians, the real ones, took civil rights matters away from the states because the state's historical record of repression and terror. We see already the terror campaign and horror the abortion banning states are putting into law. They are reckless endangering lives will reduce births in the long run in their rabid pursuit of their antichristian goal of banning abortion at all costs.

And banning abortion is antichristian. It is antichristian by intent. It's just repackaged racism. Which again, is explicitly antichristian.

As to adoption, that's a strawman argument. It is a fundamentally unethical and immoral argument. It doesn't address any of the issues.

You know, I think I disagree with your thinking.

Yeah, it's a nice story. Just didn't happen.

I understand. I'll be the first to admit that it's asking a lot to believe in something you can't see or prove exists or ever existed. Keep asking questions though. That's always a good thing about life in general.
